Simply the friendliest hotel we’ve stayed at for ages! The staff went out of their way to be helpful - Dolna and Danny especially. It really made our holiday. Everything else you’d expect from a Premier Inn- clean well presented room, and lovely location overlooking the harbour.

We stayed at this Premier Inn for a few days while we visited different parts of Northern Wales.

The room was tidy and very quiet. Comfortable bed and a working TV that we made ample use of. They had extra pillows available and we had no issues with the utilities. The staff were very friendly - we requested an iron for the room and they were able to provide us with one within minutes.

The location of the hotel is second to none with a short 5minute walk into the centre of Caernarfon and the castle. It should be noted that there is no onsite parking provided, however there are two large Paid Parking car parks across the road. It is £5 for 24hrs and can be paid in cash or card

Regardless, would stay again.

I have always found Premier Inns consistent and Premier Inn, Caernarfon is no exception. Building 1 - The accommodation is housed in one building and the restaurant, “The Harbour”, about 30 yds way.
Our room was the most spacious ever encountered in a Premier Inn. We were greeted with a delightful welcoming box of Ferrero Raffaello bonbons and a greetings cards - A great way to start our stay.
The gentleman on Reception was helpful and diligent. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty but on reporting this, a fresh supply was brought up immediately.

Building 2 - The Harbour Restaurant. This is alongside the Caernarfon marina and the view was exceptional. The food, both breakfast and evening meal were the usual Premier Inn fare from the Table Table menus. We had ordered the Mini Pudding and Coffee for dessert. Unfortunately, every choice we wanted was not available. However, our server, Tanya, sorted out a compromise and we were able to enjoy desserts from the main menu, along with coffee at no extra charge. Good that there is some management discretion allowed.
All in all, we had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of nights here and have planned to return in the not too distant future to use Caernarfon as a base for further holiday exploration.

It wasn’t Spain but we had a great trip to North Wales. Stayed in Premier Inn Caernarfon for 5 nights - longest we’ve stayed in a Prem Inn.

Modern build right on Victoria Dock which is a very pleasant 5 min walk into the town centre. Caernarfon castle is impressive but not a lot there apart from that. Fu’s Cantonese Restaurant less than a minute from the hotel was excellent. Premier Inn restaurant right next door for breakfast lunch and dinner should you need it. Large Morrison’s and Asda supermarkets within 4 mins walk for anything else.

On arrival at the hotel, good Covid process in place with hand sanitiser at the door and a one way system in place. Warm and friendly welcome where we were advised although no housekeeping service (understandably) if we wanted bins emptying or fresh towels, we should just leave full bins dirty towels in the corridor and these would be replaced. This system worked perfectly with us being greeted on our return one evening to a sealed bag containing fresh towels, replacement tea bags etc.

Nothing was a problem for the staff - corkscrew, shaver socket adaptor, extra cartons of milk. All the team greeted us with a smile - from Fernando and his colleagues on the front desk to the young lady on housekeeping. We’ve never been to a hotel where ALL the staff greet you with a smile!

Rooms super clean as was the bathroom. Comfy bed. If we have only one negative: Premier Inn please, please supply thinner quilts in the summer.

We used the hotel as a base, visiting Anglesey, Conwy, Snowdon, Portmerion.

And finally, thank you Premier Inn for keeping your pricing competitive at a time when everyone is taking advantage of the situation and putting prices up.

Great holiday!

We're regular PI users but this hotel lets the brand down. 4 night stay on second floor. Air con has been broken for some time, according to other reviewers. No mention of this when we checked in. No fan in the room and window handles had been removed. Imagine how hot it gets when three people are showering and sleeping in the same room. Staff initially fed us falsehoods. Then told us that the aircon part is on order and difficult to get hold of. With this in mind, why weren't fans already placed in the rooms? Or handles refitted to windows? Window handle was eventually refitted but only opens a hand's width.

Most of our corridor had their bedroom doors wedged open to try and get some air from the hallway into their rooms. Didn't seem safe sleeping with the door open and so consistently poor sleep as room was too hot.

We were promised a fan in our room but then the receptionist didn't deliver it. Said there weren't any left, despite one, unused, behind her. Apparently, that one is for staff in case they get hot, while on the ground floor, with the constant breeze from the main doors opening! Manager was going to phone us but then didn't.

Room never serviced during our stay, despite our request on day 3. Apparently, you need to pop down to reception and ask when you want more loo roll or clean towels of hand wash. They are then left outside your bedroom door, on the floor, although we did ask that towels were placed on our bed as the corridor floor is not hygienic.

Breakfast in another building, which can result in queuing outside while waiting for your table during busy spells (weather not always pleasant - this is N Wales). Open air carpark across the road - cheap enough at £5 for 24 hours but there were youths hanging around when we parked up so we then worried that they might be damaging cars.

Including breakfast and parking, the rate was over £100 a night so we did not feel that this was good value.

We complained to reception in person about the aircon, and also sent them an image of the error code. No refund or goodwill offered, despite us asking under the "good night sleep guarantee". We were instead given the central reservation email address on a scrap of paper. Incidentally, they haven't replied either and it's been two weeks.

In short, poor service. Read some of the social media comments before booking as Premier Inn customer services seems to be going downhill. Described by another reviewer as the Ryanair of the hotel world!

Images are of the unused fan behind reception that Jenny wouldn't loan us ("it's in case reception need it"), the window without handles and the error code on our aircon.

Had a brilliant stay. Location is perfect, staff were always smiling, parking is across the road £5 for 24hours and you could use the same ticket to park behind morrisons as well. Nights team were really helpful nothing was to much trouble, always there to have a chat when popping out for a cig during the night.
The room had everything we needed.

I have not stopped in a Premier Inn since 2009. Not a lot of changes since then. The hotels are all the same design and provide all the items one would expect, plus and couple of useful additions. They are however fairly soul-less and always come with a bolt on lowest common denominator pub/ restaurant in a separate building. The menu available is akin to Wetherspoons came on a truck just in time variety and there is no hotel lounge bar ambience for those who like a group drink and chat.
The plus side is the rooms have ample power sockets USB port etc and even a bolt on bottle opener next to beverage shelf,,,,, as usual though they issue 2 tea bags per person for the stay duration ! The bed is king sized and comfortable there is nil noise disturbance , heating control is functional to individual needs.
It pays to do an online search of alternative eating and drinking venues nearby in this case a renowned venue, The Black Boy, is only 400 m away just inside the old tow wall roadway arch which I can recommend. Caernarvon has numerous alternative venues to eat and drink. The one thing Premier has the edge on other hotels is the booking out time of 12.00 which is a definite advantage for some one with a late morning appointment. All in all Premier would not be my first choice unless they trumped the opposition on location. Worth checking the parking arrangements too in this case.... trek your baggage across a main road to a pay car park, albeit £5.00 for 24 hours is reasonable but on top of the room charge?

We often use Premier Inns they are usually clean good value for money you get a good nights sleep and are usually well located.
On this trip however hence the 2 star rating the shower was extremely poor we have used more powerful electric showers and the air-conditioning didn't work properly in fact it seemed to make the room hotter it made a lot of noise and hardly blew any air out.Not being able to open a window didn't help with the situation trying to sleep when too hot is not good.We should of complained but didn't
with the current Covid situation. We diid report to the reception staff when checking out.The room number in case anyone else gets the room it is 205.

Spotless, convenient and perfect base when enjoying a trip to the lovely area in Wales. Being so close to the Marina means you can maximise the area by enjoying the views, and the walks into the town an added bonus. This particular premier inn is a favourite as next door to a restaurant providing lovely breakfasts and you can park over the road for 24 hours for just £5. The hotel is very well equipped and provides super value for money.

6 family members booked 3 rooms. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor, none of the windows in the rooms opened. The air con was noisy and the rooms were hot at night time so none of us had a decent nights sleep. There isn't any parking at the hotel so this was an additional £5 per night at the car park opposite. The restaurant where we were supposed to have had breakfast was closed until lunch time during our 6 days stay. We had to get our own replacement towels and toilet paper from reception and take our own rubbish down. So nice to sleep in our own beds last night. Not the family break that we had been looking forward to for so long. Sorry Premier Inn. 2/10. Max.

I found my sofa bed very comfy and I'm 6ft medium build man, but I chose to sleep in the double bed I was a solo traveller but was surprised how nice the sofa bed was.
