Victoria House is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1897. Originally built as part of The North Wales Teacher Training College it was later converted into a hotel. Now rated a 5 star Guest House by the Wales Tourist Board it is centrally located in a quiet street within a few minutes walk of the town center. Backing onto the castle walls, promenade & medieval bath tower, it offers 5 comfortable & elegantly furnished double en suite rooms & a large, airy lounge with original wooden floorboards & French doors leading into courtyard garden. There is a balcony viewing area on top of the castle walls with fabulous views across the Menai Straits. The lounge area leads into an elegant dining room furnished with oak dining table & chairs and original wooden floorboards.

We really enjoyed our stay at Victoria House in Caernarfon. Really close to the castle , harbour ,shops and restaurants . The property was very tastefully decorated with lots of little extras to eat, drink and make us very comfortable . Jan was a delightful host who helped us with free parking very close by. We had our Labrador with us and she was spoilt too. We stayed in a suit of 3 rooms and an outdoor terrace with steps up to the wall and harbour beyond .

The best B&B I have stayed in, I have been to many and I'm not the sort to write reviews but Jan and the team deserve a review. its a home from home feel. We brought our dog with us and she got along really well with her dogs, who are lovely dogs. Exceptional rooms, the one me and my wife stayed in had a Jacuzzi bath in it (it was so nice!!), its got a TV you can stream your accounts on (Netflix,Disney ETC..) which i believe is available in all her rooms as well, free Wi-Fi, Microwave, mini Fridge, Tea and coffee replenished daily and so much more. Thank you so much Jan for the wonderful time.

We were made so welcome, Jan and her team went above and beyond in everything they did from helping me carry bags due to an operation , showing car parks and walking with me to do so , advice on restaurants and local attractions to the welcome drink . All the team made us feel welcome and inclusive . The breakfast was wonderful and overall a great atmosphere. Very comfortable bed , great room and bathroom . Just spent a few days here and we had a lovely time. Very generous hospitality, with great thought and consideration to what guests would need in the rooms for a comfortable stay. Warm and friendly hosts who really do go the extra mile to look after you. Good breakfast with plenty of choice too. (Ordered the evening before from a vast menu so you can have breakfast exactly to your taste served promptly. )

Jan and her minions operate a delightful B&B on a quiet street in the midst of everything. Our welcome was warm, room comfy, house well kept. Even silver candle sticks on the breakfast table. Breakfast was delish and plentiful, beautifully presented. La dee dah. It was great

Honestly I can not even begin to tell you how amazing this little gem is. From the second I called the hotel late at night and spoke to Jan I just knew we had found something special. Luckily for us this gets booked up and we managed to get a last minute cancellation which I was so grateful to be sorted at such late notice at night. Nothing is to much trouble and she goes above and beyond for you with anything from recommendations to making sure everything is catered for in house. There are so many personal amazing touches (keeping this a secret so it surprises others like myself) that just make it all the more special. The b&b is central to absolutely everything in the town but just enough out the way to be peaceful too. We stayed in the balcony suite and the views were so beautiful , sea, castle in the morning and daytime and at night the stars looked unreal. What more could you want.? The bed was so comfy and every other room extremely equipped for everything you might need. The breakfast the following morning was beautiful, everything you could need and more and service second to none, no detail is missed. I love the fact it’s all fresh and local produce. And it was very tasty. We are big foodies and enjoyed it very much, the set up is just the cutest. We have stayed at some top hotels in the uk and I honestly can say this up there, and extremely Top value for money, it felt so homely and welcoming we didn't want to leave. I wouldn’t hesitate at coming back and staying again and will be recommending to anyone and everyone who visits wales I know. Thanks so much for looking after us. You’re an absolute credit to your b&b and we think you are amazing.! You deserve every single amazing review.! Thanks for making us feel so special.!! We will certainly see you next time we visit.! What a fabulous place this is. To the welcome when you arrive by Jan, to be shown personally where everything is , and to be given a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy during our stay. It is well located with a short walk into town. Breakfast is delicious- with a wide range of choices - cooked to order. And the beautifully set breakfast table including proper candles .. you are made to feel very special. It was sad to depart, but if the opportunity arises we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We went this August Bank Holiday and found Jan's B&B absolutely wonderful our room was delightful We had a 4poster bed beding is exquisite perfect in every way fabulous mini fridge with fresh milk and water in it jan treated us to bottle of win and beer for my husband what I also liked was there was tea coffee tea pot mugs and cups and saucers also a cafetiere pot with a pot of coffee local Welsh fudge and kitkats .there's also a microwave and plates and knife and forks fabulous big TV plenty of cupboard space dressing gowns and slippers lovely fluffy white towels .bathroom was lovely everything you need was there attention to detail. Breakfast was gorgeous really good choice .again tableware dressed really lovely proper cotton napkins and again attention to detail it really is superb Jan is very welcoming in every way we've been coming 23years and I've booked for next year already .caernarfon is lovely.
