Detailed Reviews
We stayed a couple of nights while walking Snowdon. This hostel is only 20 min from Snowdon and right in the heart of Caernarfon. It is absoultly spotless and the character of the building adds to the charm. The owner is super friendly and laid back. We would definitely recommend this place to others travelling in the area.

We stayed at the Totters Townhouse across the road from the Hostel. It’s a separate property with its own entrance.
Bob and Henri(etta) are great hosts and met us on arrival with lots of goodies for breakfast. The place is spotless.
We are a family of five and there was plenty of room for us. At the top, there’s a lovely double room with a big en-suite.
On the middle floor two twin rooms with a shower room and loo - again a good size. The kitchen is well kitted out and the open plan lounge has enough room to chill.
The property is just inside the old town walls and on a very quiet street. There’s no noise from the Hostel. Bob and Henri are on hand for any info you need.
Their recommendation for Curry Scene for an Indian Takeaway was spot on. You are within and easy walk of the Slate Quay, Castle and Highland Railway.
You’re seconds from the streets of the old town. We only stayed a couple of nights, but wished we had booked more.
It’s a short drive to Llanberis for a Snowdon hike and we are off to Zip World at Bethesda today which is a half an hour drive.
Thanks Bob and Henri. We’ll be back.

My daughter and I shared the room at the top of the property, it’s a lovely self contained space, including a single and double bed, a sofa and TV, en suite shower room with toilet. The cleanliness of the whole property is top notch the owners are friendly and very helpful. The views were amazing out of the windows, the turrets at the top of Caernarfon Castle are visible as well as the views over the Menai straight. We were only here one night as a stop over, but would’ve been comfortable to spend many more days. However this room wouldn’t suit someone with limited mobility because it’s on the loft space and there’s many stairs to climb to get to it!

What a surprise! Last building in the street - next stop was Caernarfon town wall & waterfront. Lovely welcoming interior, warm hello from Henri(etta), bright & airy. Nothing like the backpackers I had stayed at in my younger days. We had "the penthouse" as Henri called it. Three stories up but roomy & comfortable with views to Caernarfon harbour & castle from the windows. Great breakfast selection (self serve) with a small variety of pastries & fruit to take out for snacks.
Thanks, Henri...!!!

The Deluxe double room is amazing, huge and very comfortable (and with very nice views!); we had everything we could need. Shared spaces were also very clean and cosy, with books and games in the living room and a nice breakfast area set up in the kitchen in the morning.
Henrietta and Bob were very friendly and welcoming! We had most of our trip planned as we mainly came for hiking, but Henrietta recommended a nice little hill a few minutes away (walking distance!) where we could enjoy a lovely view of the town and the mountains before heading back to catch the train.
I am going to be back without any doubt.

Fantastic place. Great location. Very clean lovely people. Would highly recommend to anyone that is visiting Caernarfon. No parking there but found somewhere that was free overnight and not far from it. Poor wifi in rooms but no problem in communal areas. Plenty of food for breakfast (no full English lol). Really nice vibe going on.

Very nice stay in a beautiful setting. Welcoming received and even the motorbikes were allowed in the courtyard. Restaurants and bars within walking distance, as well as the castle and ramparts. HIGHLY recommended.
Rooms are simple but very comfortable. Bathrooms fresh and modern and above all spotless. Living room / lounge cozy and easy and the breakfast room / kitchen in the basement vault is fully equipped.

Such an amazing hostel… great location, super friendly hosts, cosy, comfy and immaculate! We had room 6 which was just awesome.. like a little self contained flat and amazing views of the coast! Great breakfast to help yourself to in the morning.
