Great value for money, clean spacious good facilities well run hostel. Better than many hotels. Good location. Breakfast is included. Toast cereals etc. Covid safe. Nice owner helpful. Best to park on the harbour all day.
Fantastic place, stayed in the top room. I have to admit the stairs are not friendly to older legs but the room itself was great. The view from the window overlooking the bay was breathtaking. Hosts really nice, friendly and helpful. Do plan to visit again.!
Stayed at Totters Independent Hostel for 2 nights with my husband. On our first night we slept in a twin room with a shared bathroom, both the bedroom and bathroom were very clean and modern. On our second night we were moved to a double bedroom upstairs with our own bathroom, again these were both to a good standard. We used the breakfast facilities on our first morning as we were up early to go to Snowdon, there was a selection of cereal, bread, eggs and lots of spreads/jams. The lady who greeted us was very friendly and made sure that we were happy to move rooms for the second night. The hostel itself is right in the centre of Caernarfon and is a short walk to various pubs and restaurants. The hostel is very close to the castle as well. My husband and I were both very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend Totters. …
Imagine coming back to you bunk and finding that someone else is in it and your stuff is missing. That's the kind of experience one can look forward to at Totters where the owners paw through your stuff and relocate you at their whim. Free parking is only available about 50% of the time unless you are willing to drive around for hours. I'd recommend saving yourself a headache and finding somewhere else to stay.
A group of six of us booked the whole of the town house which is part of Totters but just across the road for a long weekend cycling trip to Wales. The town house was brilliant, everywhere was clean and tidy, the kitchen was very well stocked for breakfasts for the whole of of our stay and the wifi worked perfectly. Would definitely go again. Parking is a small problem but if you allow yourself 15 mins or so you should find a parking space near by. We arrived in three cars and were all packed in free parking spaces within 5 mins walking fairly quickly.
