A very nice hotel, centrally situated, with convenient nearby park for dog walking along the river. Parking a bit tricky initially, but one is just opposite, £2 for 4 hrs, no fee on Sundays, & another nearby is free except on Tues. Room (2) was good, very roomy, nice bathroom. Staff all very friendly & helpful & food was good....

Called here for lunch and was very happy that we decided to try here. I had the soup which was leek and onion and was extremely tasty and filling. My husband had the muscles with tripe cooked chips and he was very happy with his. I tried the chips and have to say I am not a fan of chips...

We stayed for 2 nights over new year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very glad we could bring our dog and he was made very welcome even given a sausage for breakfast! The room was comfortable and the food very good standard. There is a free car park close by (no parking on site). A nice little town to spend...

We stayed two nights in December absolutely lovely experience, noted a reviewer alluded to the staff being young and inexperienced and I totally disagree, they were young but were also polite, friendly, efficient and energetic and made the stay a total pleasure. Had the blue room upstairs with beams and wonky walls which was delightful. Evening meal was gorgeous as...

We stayed recently in one of the attic rooms, big comfortable bed, lovely beams on the ceilings and a freestanding bath. Everything we could want in the room, tea making facilities, toiletries, tv/DVD and a fan. Having to hand your key in every time you go out seems strange especially as it took a good ten minutes for us to...

We stayed here for two nights. Visiting the Becon Beacon National Park & Abergavenny. We stayed in Room 1 which was a lovely dual aspect spacious room & ensuite with dual basin. We were a little disappointed that we didn't realise December signifies the hotel being booked out for Xmas parties so we were unable to have dinner in the...

We visited here for my husbands birthday with friends. Menu was good with a good variety of seasonal food. There was also a specials board. We had starters of whipped goats cheese with salad leaves, chicken liver parfait and air dried local beef. All very good. For mains we had a special of roast pork with pulled pork and black...

From the moment you arrive, the Kings Arms makes you feel welcome and ready to settle in. The pub is cosy, the staff friendly and the dining room is beautifully set. There is outdoor seating on the newly paved road and, despite the cool weather, it was full of happy locals enjoying a beer. As you walk through the hotel...
