We are a family run business on a working dairy farm. We are about 1 1/2 -2 miles from the market town of Abergavenny. We are on the edge of the national park and we have beautiful mountains around us and there is the river Usk running around the outskirts of our land. The is plenty to do if you want walking, cycling or if you just want a nice quiet break this is the place for you.

We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting family near by. We had a lovely stay, the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and spacious and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming! We had an excellent breakfast every morning and an excellent sleep each night, exactly what you want from a B&B. We will hopefully be able to book here for all future family visits!

This is a delightful, rural B&B providing a comfortable room with a private bathroom and shower. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies in the room. Very comfortable bed. You selected your fresh farm breakfast the night before and picked the time you wished to enjoy it. Delicious! The host Carol has lived in the area all of her life and was a terrific source of local knowledge. Carol also bent over backwards to provide us with a comfortable stay. Highly recommended! But Remember! This is a working Dairy Farm, so expect farm sights, smells and sounds.

We had a wonderful quiet break over a weekend - and our host, Carol, looked after us very well without being on top of us! The accommodation was wonderful - bed very comfortable and room large. Breakfast was great and a very good start for the day. Recommended local places to dine - her recommendations were very good (Thank you Carol).

What a friendly place to stay because of Carol, our hostess. We enjoyed all of her hospitality and wonderful breakfast! The room and bathroom (en suite) were very clean. The fan that was stored in the closet served as a perfect white noise to block out the cow mooing when not quite tired enough from the day of trekking about to go immediately to sleep. In the bedroom, the hot pot for tea was made special by Carol bringing up a thermos of milk to accompany it. Sandra & David from Florida highly recommend this very nice B & B in the country but quite close to town.

What a lovely little guest house this is! Carol and her husband Cyril can't do enough to accommodate you to ensure your stay is comfortable, from cooking fantastic breakfast to providing everything you need in your spotless room, including fresh milk from their farm. The passion this couple and their family have for their business is evident. We were offered a tour of their dairy farm, so very interesting but most importantly highlights how much work and effort go into running this family business. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful spot for a lovely break. Best of luck to Carol, Cyril and family.

Happy to say Hardwick Farm is the best BnB I've ever stayed at. Carol is the perfect host. Welcoming, helpful with a lovely sense of humour, even when she forgot to give me milk one morning ( on a dairy farm !) The rooms are spacious with good cllean bathroom and large, soft bed. 10/10 for me.

Another excellent stay here. We stayed 4 nights and had the Blorenge Room. It's very quiet and overlooks the countryside. The bed was one of the more comfortable we we have ever slept in. Abergavenny is about a mile to the north and has plenty of eateries. It's a good place for exploring South Wales without staying in the former coalfield areas. Cardiff and Newport are just under an hour away by car. Breakfasts are sumptuous and Carol is a good host. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

I first visited Hardwick Farm as a child, on my return 20 years later I am once again super impressed. This charming farm sits beside the idyllic Blorenge, with the Usk River and lovely Abergavenny town nearby (which includes lots of interesting places to visit and eat/drink). The host (Carole) gives all guests us a very warm welcome, she is super friendly and exceptionally helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable with a traditional feel. After a good night's sleep a big treat is the tradditonal breakfast which includes great options for vegetarian and those wishing to be healthly. Overall, Hardwick Farm is an absolute gem, it comes highly recommended and is the perfect get away location in the heart of South Wales.
