This little gem of a B&B is in the charming village of Abergavenny, Wales. The proprietress is Jenny, and she is the most delightful and gregarious of all the people we've met on our travels - she made our visit so much fun and welcomed us like family. As with many European/British hotels/B&Bs, the place is smallish, but the hospitality...

We came from Essex to do a big fencing contract in Wales, we had a long stay and got to know Jenny, Kevin and of course Sammy very well, felt like I'd known them all my life. Lovely clean rooms, excellent breakfast, a choice of many, recommend the fratata breakfast! The entertainment from the parrots in the morning is superb,...

My husband, teenage son and I stayed here for three nights in March to visit the many castles in the area. We truly enjoyed this cozy guesthouse in a real neighborhood. The breakfasts were generous, delicious and made to order, but the hospitality shown by Jenny and Kevin was unmatched. They helped us obtain our rental car, gave us perfect...

Bedrooms were comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The dining room and lounge were also faultless. Breakfast menu is the most comprehensive I have seen in a B & B and indeed would put many hotels to shame. The service was very efficient, friendly and amusing. A place I would have no hesitation in recommending.

Jenny was like my mother for a week, she was always concerned and was even more excited than me when I passed my driving test at the end of my stay. Every morning I awoke and couldn't wait for an excellent breakfast once again. Thank you for being so supportive, your guest house is fantastic and I'm glad so many...

This is an establishment with a truly strong personality and a bit quirky too, with the amazing number of animals they have collected over the years (all very well looked after, one wonders how many hours they must work with both the guest house and all the animals!). As the web site and owners make it clear they have animals,...

We came upon The Guest House, primarily having read previous reviews on Trip Advisor and it does what it says on the tin; very friendly and helpful owners, who made the whole family including our six and seven year old boys extremely welcome. Immaculate rooms, with thoughtful extra touches such as bottle openers and toiletries made for a warm welcome....

I spent 3 weeks here and I can not rave about this place enough! Spending a lot of time working away from home means staying in quite a few B&Bs and hotels. But this place is by far one of the best. After the first couple of days I was made to feel right at home. The rooms are very...

This year saw the boys boot and ale weekend relocate to Abergavenny after many years around Church Stretton. With the investigative skills of Malc (and Trip Advisor) we booked this gold mine of a B&B and what a find it was. Jenny and Kevin could not have made us feel more welcome and what a laugh we all had. The...

I've been working in Wales since January 2010 and struck gold when booking a room at the Guest House. I'm booked through to June and go to work each day with a smile on my face as Jenny and Kevin have a great sense of humour and their hospitality is first class. I've stayed in various rooms and they all...
