Our stay at Caer Rhun Hall Hotel was absolutely delightful! Despite booking the lowest tier room, we found it to be small yet incredibly charming, perfect for a cozy one-night getaway. The whole place exudes charm, from the moment you step through the door. One of the highlights was discovering the swing hanging from a huge tree in the back garden. It was such a whimsical touch and provided the perfect spot to relax and take in the picturesque surroundings. But it wasn't just the ambiance that impressed us - the staff were amazing! Friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests, they truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. The only downside was the lack of an onsite restaurant at the time of our visit. However, this didn't detract from our overall experience as there were plenty of dining options nearby. One of the most adorable surprises during our stay at Caer Rhun Hall Hotel was the cute dog stuffies placed outside the rooms that had pets staying in them. It was such a thoughtful touch and added to the overall charm of the place. As for the history of Caer Rhun Hall Hotel, it has a rich heritage dating back to the Victorian era. Originally built as a private residence in the late 19th century, it has since been lovingly restored and converted into a charming hotel, while still retaining many of its original features.

Having just had two nights at the hotel l have to say there are good and not so good things regarding the hotel. The good points are the staff are very obliging and helpful in every way. We had a room overlooking the garden which was adequate in size but the shower was on the small side and for a smaller person the mirror is far to high. The biggest complaint l would have is that there is no warm food available at this hotel . They do not have a restaurant for dinner so you are forced to get in your car and drive to get an evening meal. The fact that everyone has to drive for a meal means there is nobody in the hotel and that means there is nobody in the bar thus no atmosphere whatsoever other than silence. This l would suggest costs the hotel lost revenue in that we would have eaten there had they had a restaurant and probably a drink or two subsequently. The room we had on booking . Com would have been £400 for two nights with no cooked breakfast , l find that not good value for money . I’m afraid l will not be returning.

What a wonderful place this is. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed a lovely relaxing time. Our room was very spacious with everything we needed. One minor issue was the wardrobe was small and there were no drawers for storage which wasn’t an issue for us as we were only there a short time but perhaps could be a draw back on a longer stay. The continental breakfast was awesome and the food was of a very high quality. The standard of the decor and finishing touches were lovely. The lack of lift was not an issue for us and the staff assisted us with luggage anyway but people with limited mobility should be aware (it is mentioned on the website in any case). The restaurant was still being refurbished when we stayed (again mentioned on the website) which was initially disappointing however it encouraged us to explore the local area and we had lovely meals elsewhere using restaurants recommended by the staff. The hotel grounds and gardens were wonderful and had some lovely walks. Despite the small issues mentioned we still felt it was deserving of a five star rating because everything else was wonderful. We definitely would return if we are back in North Wales in the future.

We had a 3 night break on a deal and from the minute we turned into the driveway we knew we were in for a lovely relaxing break. The warm welcome from Aled on reception, being shown to our room by a lovely lady, the ever friendly advice on where to go and what to see throughout our stay from Aled and also the service from Levi in the bar all made for a lovely stay we will always remember. Our room was the Gough suite and was just beautiful. We had everything we needed and more and so much space with a wonderful view of the sweeping lawn and landscape. A huge comfy bed, thick fluffy robes, towels and slippers added to the top quality furnishings and decor. We honestly loved our stay and definitely want to go back. It’s a real treat to stay there. Thank you everyone at Caer Rhun for making us so welcome. We had the best time

What a stunning place! From start to finish, my wife and I were made to feel instantly welcome, the staff were fantastic and extremely friendly. We stayed overnight and the bed was the comfiest bed ever, the breakfast was continental and was beautiful, everything imaginable for breakfast was catered for. The hotel itself is just stunning and the grounds and the scenery is breathtaking. Thank you to you all, we had a brilliant time and will be stopping again for sure 👌

We visited at the start of May, upon arrival staff member Kenndréa was really welcoming and friendly, giving us recommendations for local pubs and restaurants. The room was very clean and cosy. The bathroom was spotless and everything worked perfectly. The robes and slippers were a lovely touch. A really tasty continental breakfast in the morning, lots of choices to eat from. We got engaged at this hotel and the staff were so lovely and congratulative, giving us a free glass of champagne which I thought was a lovely gesture. We will definitely be coming back, we have a dog and so our next choice of rooms is going to be the dog friendly one. Definitely recommend staying here as it was perfect.

Beautiful building and attractive grounds. Location for us was perfect as a base for travelling up and down the whole coast, easy access to the expressway. We knew that breakfast would only be continental and it provided plenty of choice for everyone. Staff were all lovely but did seem stretched at breakfast time leading to certain things being overlooked on a couple of mornings. The downstairs decor is stunning, the bar prices were high and it must have been the smallest glass of Prosecco I’ve had. We booked the cosy double room/ cream tea/ Prosecco deal but as we were mainly out and about the cream tea was something we declined. Never got offered the Prosecco! The room was certainly cosy, it was very warm and we had the fan on all the time. No where to store luggage, or bathroom paraphernalia, the sink was tiny and wouldn’t seal. There was one very small wardrobe situated right up against the bed which made getting in and out a bit of a challenge. No table or reading light or side table on that side which was a miss. Coffee machine and tea facilities in the room. You get what you pay for, so no complaints, just need to be aware by looking at the website or talking to the hotel to make sure you know what you are getting. The staff are lovely and will aim to meet your requirements. Thank you for a lovely break. With regard to eating in the evening there were two lovely local eateries within 1.1- 1.4 miles. Be aware if you take a taxi it will cost you £30 return as taxis come from Conwy. We mostly stayed out all day and ate before we returned to Caer Rhun in the evening. We enjoyed our stay and I’m sure as the hotel develops and achieves the status it is aiming for it will be a great place.

Where do I start? The hotel is amazing and so are the grounds, even in the rain it was beautiful. Once inside, we were welcomed by Aled and Crystell who were very helpful, warm, friendly and had fantastic local knowledge. We had the cream tea and prosecco deal, we were asked what time we wanted it which was great. We unpacked, had a bit of a walk and had it when we came back. We thought that being asked what time we wanted it was brilliant as it was fresh and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. This was served in the Great Hall. This room is beautifully decorated and is both modern and in-keeping with the house. The designers really know what they’re doing! The bar area is also delivhtful as is the mor ing room and the Apothecary. Basically, all the public areas are amazing! Upon our return we wanted to know of any places to eat as Caer Rhun currently doesn’t have a restaurant. We were given a list, and Aled gave some recommendations which we found very useful. On the first evening we went to The Erskine Arms which was great. The second night we went to Johnny Dough’s. Both served excellent food. The bedroom was amazing. We stayed in a cosy double. As suggested it was very cosy. Not the biggest room we have stayed in but it was spacious enough. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both had a great night’s sleep. The bottled water on the side was a lovely touch. In contrast to the public areas downstairs, the rooms offer a much more modern and contemporary feel. The shower was amazing, fluffy towels and lovely toiletries. The breakfast was a modern take on a continental. Meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, yogurts, cereals, eggs, pancakes…. The list goes on. All fresh, mostly local products and beautifully presented. It was the best continental breakfast we’ve had in the UK. Again the staff are very attentive and are passionate about providing excellent customer service. They made us feel special and genuinely wanted our stay to be the best. I look forward to staying here again, and hopefully the restaurant will be open.

Booked a cosy room for 3 nights, checked out after two, as were so uncomfortable. The bed was the smallest double we have ever experienced in a hotel. The room was extremely small and in the attic, which was so warm we had the one small window open permanently and turned off the radiators. Two of the usb sockets didn’t work, only one bedside lamp, small free standing shaving mirror only on dressing table, nowhere to store luggage and single wardrobe not fit for holding clothes for even a one night stay. Finish in the room was awful, overall a very disappointing stay. The hotel did agree to a partial refund following us checking out early and expressing our disappointment. The one positive we could give is that the public areas are finished nicely.

Hotel full of character set in splendid grounds. My wife had booked a Comfy room which was very disappointing. No ground level opening window so no view of the grounds. The bathroom was the smallest ever and you felt you were in an actic. No dressing table mirror and no bedside lamp. Quite a climb to the 2nd floor but we new that there wasn't a lift. The breakfast is fabulous and the staff very good. Bar stocked local beers.
