The property is made up of 3 buildings the original b&b, the vestry and chapel. We stayed in the vestry ,room 4 it was immaculate ,clean, comfortable and the use of space is fantastic. It’s actually quite qwerky the bathroom is a separate room within the room but you go down 3 steps and back up 3 steps. The bathroom is amazing it’s a walk in shower with funky modern lighting large enough space for 4 people to have a shower at the same time if that’s your thing 😀. The towels are large and soft.I did like the railway memorabilia GWR brass toilet holder. They provide shampoo, conditioner and gel. With some other essential bathroom bits and bobs. The bed was really comfortable, there was a silent fridge so no noise from the motor you hear in most places. Tea and coffee ( all types of coffees and teas) facilities with biscuits and whatever you use is replaced. There is a fan in the room too. The lighting is brilliant.Pop your head out of the skylight and you get a great view of the castle. Breakfast is taken in the chapel, Colin explained what he was doing and I would love to go back and see the finished project. You are not disturbed at all by this ongoing work. You’re given a breakfast order form each day and I found the Welsh breakfast was excellent with quality products. The owners have invested lots of ideas in making this b&b a super comfortable and clean establishment in the middle of Conwy. One tip we arrived by car and parked at Mount Pleasant car park. Pay the 24 hour charge (£5.20) it’s cheaper in the long run and is 5 minute walk from the guesthouse.

We booked last minute and just about got a small twin bedroom, albeit with a spacious en suite bathroom. Everything was very clean which is the most important thing for me. The room had original wooden floor which was lovely (plus I don't like carpets, so it was just perfect!)
The lounge and breakfast room are in the former chapel. It is a nice place where you can read your book in the evening or order a nice glass of wine while listening to classical radio which is fitting for the place.
The terrace has restaurant tables and chairs (currently not in use) where we had our evening drink enjoying beautiful Conwy.
The breakfast service was friendly and professional as well as generous, but not included in the price.
The owners Colin and Monica are just lovely!
The restaurants in the area fill up quickly, so book early.
There were disinfectant handgels available everywhere and the owners wore a mask which made us feel safe.

The fact that this is a converted chapel is what initially inspired us to book and we were not disappointed by the beautiful chapel interior where we had breakfast and where you can sit with a drink from the bar. But Colin and Monica are offering so much more at this B&B. The room in the Vestry, whilst compact, is extremely clean, modern and comfortable with a great shower in the bathroom, a Smart TV that included Netflix, and a fridge for fresh milk. Nothing is too much trouble for Colin and he also offered lots of information about where we could park for nothing, where we could eat and he also let us bring a take-away fish and chip dinner to eat on the patio, providing cutlery and condiments. The patio area was another lovely addition to the premises where we spent a few hours each evening in the sun playing cards and enjoying drinks from the bar. Breakfast was delicious and the best that we experienced during our break away in Wales with plenty of options, (although my own personal preference is for sauces, jams, butter etc not to be served in sachets)
This was a fabulous B&B, we would definitely recommend it to others and would stay here again.

A lovely B&B with a central location - great access to local restaurants / the harbour. The chapel is gorgeous and breakfast was delicious (Colin is a great host - super friendly)! Rooms are stylish and exceptionally clean with a range of helpful extras included in the price, such as: shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, tea, coffee and milk. Only grumble would be the parking, which is free, however; is a slight walk away and in horrendous weather, is a bit of a pain. Overall, we would highly recommend the B&B to anyone that wants to stay in or around Conwy. Cannot praise the hosts enough. Thanks Colin & Monica - we will be back!

Gwynfryn B & B is an outstanding example of what every B & B should aspire to. Colin and Monica were perfect hosts and should be proud of the beautifully unique accommodation they've created. The rooms were stunning with exceptional views of the castle and town from the lofty heights of the wonderful rooms above the converted chapel where we stayed. Everything has been renovated with the integrity of the buildings in mind and celebrates it's history within the community.
Conwy is a stunning historical town with every amenity and places of interest within walking distance of the B & B. Public car-parking is easy, great value for money and just a 5 minute stroll away. There's no passing traffic, so although you're in the centre of town, it's super peaceful and quiet. Church bells and seagulls are the only sounds you'll hear of an evening. There's a lovely outdoor terraced area, fully stocked bar and light snacks available. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and variety, cooked fresh and served in the chapel building itself. Colin and Monica are mindful of their guests comfort and encourage a sensible close down time of the bar ( generally only available to their guests and a few locals) to ensure guests are undisturbed during their visit
I really can't recommend this place enough ( and as a hospitality provider myself, I'm a fussy one to please) Thank you so much Colin and Monica, we loved every second of our stay so expect our friends to be rocking up in the future! Many thanks. Cathy & Ken Elms

Gwynfryn sets the bar real high!!!!

We have just spent a wonderful 2 nights at Gwynfryn, we had Le Rose room, wow it was really lovely (see attached pictures) all toiletries were in the room, along with bottled water, biscuits/chocolates, cappuccino, coffee, Tea and hot chocolate, all replenished daily.

The host Colin was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was the best cooked breakfast I have ever tasted mmmm.

Would definitely recommend Gwynfryn, unfortunately we only booked 2 nights and have moved to another hotel for 2 nights a very regrettable decision!!!!

Thanks Denise and Mark

Gwynfryn totally exceeded our expectations. The room was small, but very well appointed and had everything we needed, well lit and airy and with all the amenities and little extras of better than normal quality. The bed extremely comfortable. Bathroom was very small, but boasted a great shower - rain shower and separate hand shower, both with fantastic pressure.

The hotel has a wonderful bar / restaurant called ‘The Hidden Chapel’ / which is exactly what it is, right down to the pulpit and pipe organ. Seating choices range from comfortable sofas and arm chars to upholstered booths with tables to benches with tables; plus a roofed outdoor area with heaters. Simple menu section at present, but good drinks option and reasonable priced.

Would definitely return.

The dining area of the B & B is in the well of an old chapel and its gorgeous. A fantastic renovation using as many of the reclaimed materials as possible.
We arrived hours before booking in time on the train and were made to feel very welcome by the host. We left our bag in reception and went exploring around the town. We had pre-booked a visit to Plas Mawr. It was amazing, one of the best properties we have been to.
We returned later in the day having found out that it was half term and everywhere in the town was packed out! We could not book a restaurant of any kind at any time! Our host offered to set up the dining area in the well of the chapel so that we could eat a take away and that he would open the bar and supply us with drinks and music to go with the meal. We ordered a curry, which was well below average. However the ambiance was lovely due to the surroundings, the lighting and soft music. Our host was attentive without being overbearing,
Breakfast was great, the rest of the staff followed his example, they also followed COVID guidelines wearing masks etc. We felt very welcome throughout and will definitely stay again on our next visit. Great value for money!!

Stayed at Gwynfryn B&B for 2 nights with my partner as his birthday present. Check in was really simple and easy which went down a treat after our busy day at Zip World. Dropped our bags in the room and came down to the bar for a drink which we had in the lovely outside area of the B&B.
Gwynfryn was a short walk from the town centre and there were loads of bar and restaurants near by and a shop within a 2 min walking distance.
Our room was huge (we stayed in Chapel Loft) and definitely exceeded both of our expectations we were blown away and sent some videos to family who also agreed the rooms were fab.
Lovely view of the river and the castle from the room windows (as seen in photo)
Staff were super attentive and nothing was too much to ask for them.
Would definitely recommend here and will definitely be coming back should we come back to Conwy in the future!

An excellent B&B! Stayed in the Gold Room, was spotlessly clean, bright and airy. We had breakfast there, excellent choice, catered for my gluten intolerance, cooked fresh and served on hot plates. We were also fortunate to have an evening meal whilst there too, excellent standard. Monica and Colin were fantastic hosts who couldn't do enough for us,nothing being too much trouble. Money well spent here. At the back of the house is the Hidden Chapel where our breakfast was served. This also had a licensed bar. It's been done out in such a warm, caring and complimentary way. Such a gem. We will be going back. Words just fail to paint this place to a high standard. A stay is a must.

Hi, thank you for your enquiry. Although we provide a small electric fan in all our rooms, we do not have air conditioning. It's not something which is required with the usual temperatures around the mid 20's. Although last year was hotter than usual for a long time at nearer the 30's. Hope this helps. Thanks Colin
