Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hostel is situated in the heart of Llangollen town, making it very convenient for all the attractions and places to eat etc. The staff were very helpful answering all our queries about where to visit etc. The hostel itself was very clean and although because of the C virus we were unable to use the communal areas such as the kitchen we still had a great few days there and hope to return sometime.

Perfect base for activities and exploring around LLangollen. Our room (no 6) was a lovely big attic room. The bed was really comfy, shower was good, fridge for beers and a lovely view of the mountains. Jaime was also really helpful, letting us know early on arrival day that our room was ready so we could get there earlier than planned and fully enjoy our weekend. Also really convenient having the car park right behind us through a code locked door. Will definitely return.

Great place to stay. Stayed here with friends in a walking group of 20 people. Warm, comfortable, clean, well equipped and a great location for all amenities. I shared a 5-bed room on the top floor with en-suite shower, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge - plus a great view of the castle! Great value for money.

Recently stayed here, booking a double and a twin room. Comfortable, very clean, and a warm welcome. Extremely close to town centre. Parking behind the hostel in the town carpark - car park pass provided - thanks. Free tea, coffee and milk provided in the shared kitchen, lovely lounge - Would highly recommend 👌

We are a small fell running club from South Lakeland and used the Hostel for an overnight stay as we ran a loop around the Llangollen hills. The hostel is immaculate- think premier Inn and a bit more!! Great comfy beds, a very well sorted kitchen and dinng room , free tea and coffee and a great lounge in which to enjoy it. We were a bit cheeky and asked for some cold beer to be left in the fridge ......and it was. Jamie made everything simple and our stay was an absolute delight. Thank you.

The accommodation was excellent. Great location, fantastic facilities and the communication and service from the staff was spot on. Pound-for-pound this is one of the best places I’ve stayed in the world. If you’re looking for something cheap and cheerful in a beautiful setting, I would highly recommend Llangollen Hostel.

Great value for money, good location in town with discount for parking.
The hostel was clean and very comfortable, had tea/coffee in room and a fridge which is a bonus.
I would return and easily recommend. Communication was quick and all info I required was sent before I arrived.
