Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent site with good facilities in a great location, easy walk to Llangollen in 20 mins or there is a bus stop at the main entrance for buses to Llangollen or Wrexham. Nice level large pitch. Weather wasn’t great but we will certainly be back next year. Lots going on in the area to visit.

I have just returned from a wonderful relaxing Easter Break at Llandyn Holiday Park with my family. We were in plot 2 and all extremely impressed how spotlessly clean the Park, toilets, showers, facilities and public areas were. Our Wardens, Linda and Paul were friendly, helpful and worked very hard looking after us all. We were sad to leave and cannot wait to visit again, hopefully real soon.

Really enjoyed our stay at Llandyn. A great location next to the river with an easy flat off road walk into Llangollen by old train track or canal tow path. Also great walk straight up across the road to Castell Dinas Bran and Panorama road/walk. Pitches are spacious and everywhere is clean. Some picnic benches available for campers. Good clean shower & toilet block (inc disabled) with dishwashing sinks. So good we're going back next week.

We were in a campervan and stayed 2 nights.
Whilst the facility block had toilets, showers, washing up and chemical waste disposal point, it seemed limited given the number of pitches. The block had coded locks on the doors which made it an extra hassle to go to the toilet in the night.
Our pitch was level and fully serviced. The electric hook-up, water tap and a light were all immediately adjacent and well maintained.
On our arrival we were told the town was a 5 minute walk away. It took us 20 minutes to get into the centre of things. It is still accessible but they just need to set your expectations better.
The site is in a very nice location and would consider using again if we visit in the future.

This holiday park is conveniently located close to the lovely village of Llangollen. It's a lovely town with plenty of good restaurants and shops.

Upon arrival at the park the warden failed to show us the boundaries of our pitch. It's not clear where pitches begin and end.

The ablution facilities are relatively clean but the soap dispensers were empty at times. The extractor fans are clogged up leaving the facilities with a damp and disgusting smell.

The grounds are well kept, but fire safety is not a priority at this park. The section we stayed in did not have any fire fighting equipment or fire action notices.

The park is dog and child friendly. Parents would just need to be cautious as there is a fast flowing river and access is not restricted or gated. If children are not supervised they could easily drown in the turbulent waters.

I would not stay at the holiday park again. The warden is a very curious and nosy.

The site itself is located 15 mins walk from Llangollen and there is a footpath behind the site that can be accessed to direct you there. The location is superb and the toilet and shower block are very clean and modern. However, in the gents room there are only 2 shower cubicles and 2 toilet cubicles for hundreds of people sharing the campsite and caravan park. Twice in two days they ran out of toilet paper and hand wash. The combination code for the doors is also a nuisance as they are very temperamental and sometimes do not work. If you wish to shower after 9.30am expect to be in a lengthy queue too.

On another note dogs are not required to be tethered and on this occasion we witnessed dog mess in the public grass area where children were playing bare foot. This is totally unacceptable on a camp site.

Final issue - do not expect to be able to speak to anyone face to face outside of 2pm - 6pm. They do state there is a warden on site, however in the 3 days I was there I did not see anyone and had to make phone calls to get toilet resources re-stocked

Such a shame, as we will not be going back

BEWARE .... Booking here..
We have a daughter who has a spinal condition and in damp wet conditions she would suffer with terrible pain.
I emailed and explained our situation as the weather is a washout this weekend- i requested we cancel and rearrange or refund. Either would be fine.
Was told No its not in there terms and conditions 😡 What is your policy with people with a disability? I would like to see it?
SERIOUSLY think twice about booking and staying here..
I certainly will not book again with this campsite. Was a 1st booking and will be the last.
There is no empathetic approach thought or professionalism from the staff here.
There customers service isn't its best either.
Well done llandyn holiday park 👏

0/10 for you and your campsite review🤬

We have just returned from a great little 2 night break here. When checking in we were greeted by the friendly owners who showed us to the pitches and allowed us to pick from the available ones, they also told us of all the little walks nearby that I wish we had time to do but we will do next time! the town of Llangollen is a lovely 20 minute walk away along the canal towpath or less than 5 minutes in the car!. The site itself is pretty much brand new, we were in the tent pitches at the top and there was plenty of space, the facilities again are all brand new the showers and toilets are kept clean.
Next time we will be booking for a bit longer so that we have more time to explore the local area.

This is a lovely, clean and quiet site. It’s location is perfect for walking the canals into Llangollen, the aquaduct and Horseshoe Falls. The Sun Trevor is good value for pub food and only a 15 minute walk away. Also highly recommend The Cornmill for its location overlooking the river in Llangollen on a sunny day. We will be back!

I rather doubt it but contact the wardens, I am sure they will help if they can.
