Myself and bridal party stayed the night before our wedding. Check in 3 check out strict 10am - which is the only downside when your in middle of wedding make up haha The place is so easy to find - across the road from the gem that is Three Eagles deffo eat there! Parking 1 minute walk away in the hand hotel Beautiful place with such character . Every room is lovely and has its own big shower and bath in 2/3. The two doubles are especially wow!! This place has everything you need from tea/coffee & condiments to bubble bath and straighteners ! The log fire is amazing so relaxing and homely. Beds clean and cosy. Heating lovely and warm. Shame the jacuzzi bath in main suite doesn’t have jets now as that would have been lush. But brand new modern shower. I would love to come back as a group of couples or a big family. Especially in the winter nice and cosy!

Have just spent 3 nights at Cornerstones with a group of friends and we all wish we could have extended our stay. The accommodation is fabulous on every level with tastefully decorated bedrooms, quirky bathrooms and cosy living areas; all teeming with character. Outside is a small garden and great seating area with beautiful views overlooking the River Dee. The location is perfect to explore the local area and the town has restaurants and shops all nearby. Off-site parking is provided with a private garage available to use. Would certainly recommend and hope to stay there again in the future.

Amazing character house right in the middle of Llangollen with garden down to river. Stayed for 3 nights as a group of 6 friends celebrating a special birthday, the house was perfect, very high standard and fully equipped. Hired a canal boat for one day and went horse trekking over the beautiful welsh countryside on second day. Had 2 fabulous meals in the house making full use of the lovely kitchen and large dining table, ate out on our last night. Great location and bonus to have parking for two cars. Definitely recommend for a luxury break. Thank you Carol.

What can I say, this house is just beautiful. We stayed here 3 nights with our friends in mid September. It was spotlessly clean and they have definitely taken our current pandemic seriously. There is an information book which gives you plenty of reassurance that you are staying somewhere safe. The weather was gorgeous when we visited and one day we walked up to the castle, the next had a picnic along the canal and the last day we sat out in the garden to play cards and enjoy a G&T or two. There are plenty of places to explore if you don't fancy cooking, however there is a lovely kitchen on the ground floor for self catering. We ate in one night utilising the lovely dining room. It has so much character with beautiful beams, window seat, stunning bedrooms and a lovely garden next to the river dee. The house is centrally placed in Llangollen so we had an easy to walk to the shops and wonder down the river with an ice cream. I nearly forgot to mention the beds. My husband is not a good sleeper, however we both slept so well during our stay. Everything has a touch of luxury with amazing bedding, beautiful bathrooms with both bath and showers and the soft carpet up the stairs. Because of its character and large wood burner in the sitting room it would be just as cosy to stay over the winter period and the house is so nice, you could just stay in all day of the weather wasn't good. We would love to stay again.

We had a great few days in Llangollen, no doubt helped by the nice weather, but what a place we had to stay in! Filled with neat touches and quality furnishings, we loved it. The back garden overlooking the River Dee was marvellous. Thoroughly recommended.

My husband and I are currently staying in the Castle/Riverview room for the weekend. We arrived last nigh about 5.30pm. From the front, the place looks tiny and like something from Diagon Alley in Harry Potter. The place is like a tardis and consists of 3 guest rooms. Our room is HUGE and absolutely beautiful. It’s on the top floor and runs from the front to the back of the house. So you can have the window open and enjoy the sound and beautiful view of the river down below. The super king bed, TV, shower, jacuzzi bath are all in one room but it totally works with how it’s set out. I was blown away when we first arrived. Gowns and slippers are provided as is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand wash, a hairdryer, straighteners, kettle, mini fridge with milk and water, teabags, coffe and got chocolate and an iron and ironing board. Guests who book the Castle/Riverview room also have their own private dining area for breakfast (which is included and delicious) overlooking the river. WiFi is included and I love the quirky nature of the place like having to remove your shoes before going upstairs, home from home really. We have visited Llangollen several times as it’s only 40 minutes down the road from where we live but as part of my Christmas present, my husband booked this weekend away as the hotel (it’s actually a B and B) had been highly recommended. It is better than we could have ever imagined and actually, the photos don’t do it justice.

Tucked away in a little street just off the main road. Be careful if you blink you might miss it. We stayed in the Castle/River Room. It includes large rain shower and jacuzzi bath. Large double bed. Fully carpeted throughout tea/coffee facilities with fresh milk. Little touches like shaving foam and hairspray, helped to give it that special feeling. Breakfast served in a room that overlooks the river Dee. All that is required is 15 minutes notice so breakfast using locally sourced products is nice and hot. As the bedrooms and stairs are fulled carpeted, the owners ask that you remove footwear before gong to your room. They supply slippers for this Large screen TV with DVD Player and a very large selection of DVD’s. Owners very friendly and can give lots of info about what to do and where to go. Numerous eating establishments within easy walking distance. Owners recommend Corn Mill good quality food. If you want something special The Three Eagles right opposite the front door of Cornerstones. Parking is in a car park about 3 minutes walk. Upon arrival, you will be given a map to which is attached a parking permit. This is definitely a place to go for a nice romantic break. Really enjoyed our three nights to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary
