Had lunch here on a Wednesday. It was quite quiet , but I'm not sure why. There is very easy parking and there are lovely views .We had the smaller lite bite menu.We had the Lasagna and the scampi. It was served quickly and efficiently by pleasant staff. I hadn't visited here for at least 3 years and now wish I had returned...

We stayed here on a Saturday night prior to attending a wedding the next day. The room was a bit on the small side with the double bed pushed up against the wall,so hard to get in and out. It was quirky with plenty of olde worlde charm. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. No shower so had to have a...

Typical hillside pub that serves a good pint. Nothing special inside or out but friendly enough. Lots of cars in the carpark making it look popular. Also a strange decking seating area right on the road. Looks appealing until you try and talk with cars going past at 50+ MPH! Overall a good stop off point but I wouldn't choose...

We had a one-night stay at the Britannia Inn travelling from South Wales to the NorthEast. What a lovely gem! The proprietor and staff were friendly and very accommodating. We had two comfortable and quiet rooms with a beautiful view of the green, rolling valley. Beds comfortable, large bathroom, plenty of light and cozy. Another bonus was good, hot meals...

Have just returned from a brilliant 3 night weekend stay at this superb inn. Ann and all of the staff are welcoming, polite and friendly. We stayed in Room 2, the suite. Half tester bed is so comfortable, shower is powerful and having 2 t.v.'s is great! Service in bar and restaurant is quick and you always get served with...

We stayed at the Britannia for five days, with our son and his wife and two young children joining us for the last two days. Ann was extremely accommmodating and nothing was too much trouble. We had excellent accommodation, service and food. The children especially were made welcome. Thank you Ann and Tony.

Wonderful experience - the food was great and it came out very quickly. I had the steak pie and I would recommend it. The pub was incredibly clean with nothing out of place. The price was reasonable for a family to eat out. Service was quite quick but it could sometimes be slow but the staff were very friendly. Overall...

The Britannia sits on a sweeping curve with a beautiful view down towards the town. Our room was compact, but not too small. It was clean and nicely decorated. The shower appeared recently renovated. We were comfortable and slept well. The restaurant and pub is warm and friendly with several beers on tap, including cold Guinness. We had dinner and,...
