I stayed twice at this b and b. The second time was at very short notice due to a cancelled ferry crossing. The owner Jane was very friendly and the rooms were both spotless. It is not a slick hotel and does not advertise itself as such. It is warm and comfortable, and the breakfast was cooked perfectly.

Jane was a very friendly and accommodating host. The B&B is very cute. She showed us to our lovely room with comfy beds. I am picky about pillows and those were the best pillows I've encountered on a trip. Breakfast was great and she accomodated our dietary needs as well as our schedule. She also knew the area and gave... More

My boyfriend and I arrived on the ferry one night in October, intending to camp somewhere near Holyhead. After failing to find an adequate place to pitch the tent, and seeing lightning in the distance, we decided to try our luck at a B&B. After being turned away from a few, we finally ended up at Wavecrest's door. We were... More

We stayed here last night on our way to Dublin and had a really good nights sleep. The bed was very comfortable and everything we needed was in the room. The full Welsh breakfast was probably one of the best we have had. Thanks to the owner, Jane, we were taken to and from the ferry....now that is magnificent personal... More

I stayed at the Wavecrest in May (for 2 nights only) and in September (5 nights). My single room was small but adequate for my needs, and my meat-free breakfast was excellent. Carl was particularly helpful and supportive when I had to leave unexpectedly in May due to a family crisis. I returned in September when new management had just... More

We stayed at this B & B in an en suite room the first week in September, and it was very clean and comfortable. We were on a walking holiday, finishing off the rest of the coastal walk round Angelesy. Carl the owner was very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was great and generous. Very reasonably priced, and within... More

Owner most helpful and had a knowledge of what was going on. Handed me a free pass for steam train ride which was great. Gut buster breakfast was a challenge though. Cheap and cheerful. Thanks again for a memorable stay

We had the family en suite room at the top which was comfortable and met our requirements for the night before a ferry crossing. Bathroom a bit tiny but we managed ok and we had a good nights sleep. A bacon and egg toastie for breakfast was enough to set us on our way.

During this, my third visit to this harbourside B&B, the proprietor informed me that he had found a purchaser and that ownership is likely to change hands in early September. He intends to take his railway memorabilia with him, but, apparently, new management intends to continue current policies for the coming year. If that happens, guests will continue to receive... Thank you for your comments. I am certain it will be business as usual with a few improvements too. I will still be keeping a hand and you may not have seen the last of me! I will re-stock with fresh towels beforehand. More
