Checked in to hotel, no issues, evening staff were very friendly. I was told my room was in the main building, however after ser hibg around I found I was in fact in a stable block away from main building, not an issue room was warm and cosy. Evening meal the four of us were told we would need to sit at different tables as we were not one house hold, far enough as covid is lurking everywhere. The tables they sat us at were near enough to still talk which was great. However two of us were only 30-20cm from the next table, of other people who may or may not be infected!!, how is that covid safe? After a lovely meal I retired to my room and found the toilet had not been properly cleaned with a brush and bleach for a long long time, also electrical items had not been tested. Are they trying to kill me, I thought?!. In the morning I was rudly awakened at 5:30 by a trades van revenge its engine out side my window next to my bed, this continued until 7:30. Breakfast: advertised on menu for full English listed Hash Brown's however I only received one has brown!!!. I looked at their strict dress code for Thursday to Friday (see pics) and its laughable in this day and age to insist on such antiquated dress, we an not int the 90's! Their was also a lack of bins and ashtrays, which resulted in a lot of litter on the floor. Overall I would not recommend this establishment or visit it again. They have a lot of work to do to get to the standards they are clearly charging for and aspire, via their "dress code" policy.

I had booked two rooms for an over night stay as part of my daughters 21st birthday celebrations. The contact over booking meals and accommodating our dogs has been efficient and seamless . Unfortunately, due to covid restrictions, we are unable to attend . The hotel have refunded us completely , without question . Although I haven’t actually stayed here I will be looking forward to booking again when we are able to and I would highly recommend the service and contact I have had through telephone and email. Thank you very much.

We stayed at the Saracens Head for 2 nights so we could climb Snowdon. We arrived early at the hotel as we’d headed off very early in the morning. We were welcomed straight away and Told they would try and get our room done first. The hotels location was perfect for our walk. We took a route that started in the mountains so only a 15 minute drive from the hotel! There are plenty of walks near the hotel if you don’t want to climb Snowdon though and it’s postcard perfect...The hotels location is stunning and the local people we met were all so friendly and helpful!! We would definitely choose the Saracens head again for our next visit to north wales but we will be bringing our dog as the hotel is dog friendly and as we witnessed are treated Amazingly. The staff at the hotel are a credit!! They truly made our visit that much more amazing. Nothing was to much for them... every question we had about the local area about the hikes was never to much to explain.. they took the time to ask about us and we really enjoyed getting to know them. It was an amazing visit to wales made even better by the amazing welsh people we met!!

Lovely characterful hotel with log fires, great views and walks and dog friendly. Nice room with an enormous comfortable bed and good toiletries. I was a bit worried before coming to the hotel because of some bad food reviews but ate here 2 nights and the food was delicious, especially the Millionaire's Shortbread with Chocolate Ice Cream which was so good I had to have it both nights! The Lamb Shanks were great too. There's no drink's menu but the Marmalade Gin and Tonic was very good. Great stay for touring around.

The hotel was very cosy and welcoming as soon as your entered the reception area. The staff were super friendly and really helpful and gave great advice on our walk to mount Snowdon. You could clearly tell your comfort and stay was important to the staff and no ask was too much. The rooms were a lovely size, very clean, comfortable and really well kept. We had breakfast included in our stay where the food choice was plenty and the breakfast hearty to start your day in the right way. We also ate in the restaurant and would recommend doing so during your stay as the food was lovely. Overall we had an amazing experience and hope to visit again soon.
