Good central location in Betws, with other pubs and restaurants a short walk away. The owner Mark is quite a character, but pleasant, hospitable and informative all the same. Breakfast was good value and plentiful. Our room that took 6 was a bit tired compared to the other rooms, but was clean, the beds comfy and bedding clean. A power...

Only a short walk from the town centre the Vagabond is an excellent place to stay if a group of you are traveling on a budget. While on a motorcycling trip round Snowdonia, 5 of us stayed here for a night. Accommodated in a six-berth bunk room, the beds were very comfortable, clean bedding supplied. Breakfast was good, cooked by...

This place has everything you need, it is very clean, freindly and great value for money. The welcome was perfect, a quick tour, very few basic rules, then they just let you enjoy the laid back, cosy atmosphere. Mark, who ran the place could not have been more helpful, he has a straightforward common sense approach to running the place,...

My boyfriend and I ended up staying at The Vagabond during our trip to Snowdonia. The problem with Betws-y-Coed is that there isn't much choice in terms of where to stay. It is either very pricey B&Bs, a hotel or this hostel. Buses don't run that often and we decided that we were only spending one night so we stayed...

Stayed as part of group of friends, some mountain bikers, some climbers. Great place to stay, warm welcome, brilliant atmosphere. Facilities are good with friendly staff. Caters very well for guests, good value for money and clean. Looking forward to visiting again.

We hadn't stayed here before but needed somewhere to stay whilst on a caving trip. It's very friendly, really clean and pleasant to stay, with a great atmosphere amongst the other outdoor folks there. It's all really well thought out for outdoor people - good showers, drying room, tea and coffee on tap (filter coffee in the morning). Kitchen to...

I have stayed at this bunkhouse twice now. Used it for both my holidays in 2013. Firstly was in March was me a single female with 4 lads and then in August with my boyfriend. I have stayed at a fair few youth hostels and bunkhouses but nothing beats the warm welcome you get from Mark and the rest of...

Excellent accommodation for a lads weekend away, really nice. friendly and helpful staff. I'd advise making sure your organiser can read, or at least one of the group isn't too idle to double check details; IMPORTANT NOTE breakfast is 9AM finish, not 9.30. We were given full refunds for the breakfast and consolation prize from the bar. Also if you...

A group of 3 friends and I stayed in The Vagabond for the first time on Friday evening. It was warm, inviting and cosy. The bar was nice, but probably needed a few more bottles of the local grog, but was good anyway. The rooms are clean, tidy and warm. We enjoyed a good breakfast on the following morning which...
