Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just come back from my first trip to Wales and could not of asked for a better place to stay. The guesthouse is only afew minutes walk to local restaurants and hiking trails but still feels really quiet and peaceful. The self check in was really easy and all the information was provided beforehand. Dave was extremely welcoming and full of knowledge about the local area, he did everything to make sure we had a lovely stay. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfy all you needed after a day hiking. Breakfast was an absolute treat so many options, homemade and just delicious. We will definitely return for another stay.

We loved this guest house. The accommodation was beautiful, the scenery outstanding. The hosts were great. Dave is personable and clearly a people person. We really appreciated his visitor tips and advice, especially the swimming spot. Gabby's food is delicious. We highly recommend the homemade breakfast beans!! Hopefully we'll be back. Thanks for a great weekend!

I highly recommend Summerhill Guesthouse. It is beautiful, just off the main street in Betws-y-Coed. David and his team looked after us so well. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of choice. We had a beautiful, clean room with all modern amenities, a very comfortable bed & a cafetiere for lovely coffee to enjoy the fabulous view of the forest, it was so relaxing listening to the sounds of the Falls directly across from us. The guest house is in a perfect location for all hikes in the area, such as The Great Orme & Snowdon. The village and places to eat are just a couple of minutes' walk from the B&B. I highly recommend Abbasi's Indian restaurant. Thank you again for a wonderful stay, we look forward to staying with you again. Sarah & Ryan, Footfalls Walking Holidays.

This guesthouse was in the most perfect location for our needs; set in the heart of the village with all amenities on our doorstep. Dave was a fantastic host, answering all of our questions before and during the trip. The breakfast was amazing and the room was extremely comfortable. We all loved the decor and style of the property - it was incredibly welcoming and warm, with all the facilities we needed for our 2-night stay. We would definitely recommend and would love to go back there when visiting Snowdonia again.

I stayed here for 2 nights with 2 friends. We had a fantastic stay in Room 2, which was set up with single beds for the 3 of us. The guest house is clean, brightly decorated and spacious, and is set in beautiful surroundings. Dave went “over-and-above” during our stay, helping us with local restaurant suggestions and transport information. He also checked us out early to fit in with our plans, and allowed us to use the car park for a whole day after we had checked out. He even prepared breakfast early for us so that we would be in time to catch an early bus. I would not hesitate to recommend Summer Hill Guesthouse to anyone visiting Betws-y-Coed, and hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

I rarely write reviews ... only if I have a truly exceptional, positive experience or an appalling one! I'm delighted to report that Summer Hill falls very much into the first category. Gabby and David have created a wonderful, hospitable guest house. I will say no more than that all the positive reviews are 100% accurate. Treat yourself and your loved ones to a simply lovely stay - your expectations will be exceeded. Gary
