We stayed for three days in January. First time at the Royal Oak and found our room to be clean, well presented, spacious and cozy. Nice well cooked breakfast. We also ate each night in the Grill Room and the food was superb - lovely fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked.

The Standard Double Room at the Royal Oak Hotel
Yes it is. The Caravan Site is one side of the Station and you simple cross to the other (town side) of the station and the Royal Oak is opposite the large town green space. A few mins walk I guess but everything is very walkable in and around the town. Some nice eateries around the Vintage Station as well.

How far is mount snowdon from the hotel please ?
A good 30 min drive. The roads get a little windy and obviously goes into the mountain so the time is more due to speed than distance. I would allow 30-45 mins drive from hotel to Snowdon Railway which has the start of one of the paths up.

You can get a train to the village of Betws-y-coed although you will to change at least twice at Manchester Piccadilly, Chester and Llandudno Junction. Quickest transfer would be buy taxi direct, cost around £80 one way but may be cheaper than train anyway - check with Arrow Taxis. Hope that helps but let us know if you need anything else?
