Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We recently enjoyed a delightful stay for three nights at Sarah and Mark’s guest house, The Fern. It was very clean and comfortable, and in very good location. As vegans, we were well catered for at breakfast too. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant!

Five star all the way. Absolutely beautiful guest house. The whole place is immaculate. Our room was beautiful and it was so peaceful. We had a lovely two night stay at The Ferns Guest house. Sarah was absolutely lovely and even gave us advice on a amazing hike to do, which we did and it was fantastic. So pleased she told us about it. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay at the ferns. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in betwys coed this has to be the best. Impeccably clean, modern ensuire facilities, very comfortable beds, light and bright bedrooms, fantastic breakfast cooked to order, but above all what makes the ferns stand out is the great hosts Sarah and Mark. Thanks for a great stay.

The Ferns was the perfect choice for our party of 6 - our family of 4 and 2 British friends who joined us during our trip to North Wales! Sarah and Mark were kind, attentive and yet not intrusive! The breakfast was excellent and was a highlight as was the coffee. Rooms were clean and well equipped and this was all one would want from a B&B - a perfect base for our adventure to Snowdon, which we happily were able to climb successfully! Highly recommend The Ferns!

This is a really great B&B. About 2 mins from the train station. We had room 4, which is small but perfectly fine with all amenities and a view to the back gardens where we saw the neighbours horse. The whole B&B was spotless and Sarah & Mark were very helpful and nice. The breakfast was really good and we totally recommend The Ferns.

Hello S A, Thank you for taking the time to write us this review. We're so happy that you enjoyed your time with us and that you found our small double room (Room 4) ok for your stay (we feel it works well for guests who travel light :) ). The new horse in the field behind us certainly is a "good looker" and can be seen from Room 4 and our Twin/family room on the top floor (Room 7). We hope you can visit again, Have a great summer, Sarah and Mark

A beautiful guesthouse! Warm welcome, immaculate and gorgeous rooms - my Dad and I stayed in Rooms 5 and 3 that were perfect. Everything we could possibly need: contemporary design, an incredibly comfy bed, light and airy with plenty of storage. Room 5 is ideal for one person as it is cosy with a stunning rooflight view and big shower, whereas my Dad's room involved fewer stairs, a bit more space and storage that suited him too. Sarah was a fantastic, warm, engaging and helpful host and Mark cooked the most superb breakfasts for us behind the scenes. We had adverse weather for our mountain hike so it was utter luxury to return to this gorgeous, homely place afterwards for a hot shower. The village has everything! Sarah provided every possible guidance and help we needed too. Fish and chips near the bridge are highly recommended - waterfalls, herons and emerald forests are all nearby. What a gorgeous place. We loved everything about our accommodation and location. Thank you so much Sarah and Mark for creating one of the best guest houses we've stayed in.

The Ferns is ideally located in the heart of the village. It has everything and more you could ask of a B&B and is tremendous value for money. The most comfortable beds, generous hospitality trays and the cleanest of establishments you are likely to find anywhere. Nothing is too much trouble for Sarah and Mark. Don’t hesitate. Book it now!!

The Ferns is exceptionally well kept. It is clean, bright, welcoming, and comforting. Mark and Sarah were incredible hosts. They recommended great trails for us to hike during our stay. The homemade breakfasts were so delicious and perfect to fuel your adventures in Snowdonia. Our room came with a beautiful, picturesque view of the fields of sheep and little lambs! Best b&b in Bets w Coed!
