Food was homemade, hot ,tasty and big portions! We had the cheese burger, chips and salad with coleslaw. Staff lovely and helpful. Would recommend 👌 We didn't stay here, we had never visited the area previously. But if we were to come back we would definitely look at staying here

Visited for a family meal and was disappointed with the food quality which was average - some meals ok, one returned uncooked and the service which was at best average. Would not visit again for a meal unfortunately. However seemed a decent place for a drink and watch sports events on TV

We didn't stay here but we came for food on our last evening in Llanberis and it was amazing. The portions for food were very generous and tasted really nice. I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The brownie for desert was also amazing, lovely and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside as it should be. Will definitely eat here again when we come back to the area!

Room - simple, clean. as described, no catches. clear comprehensive instructions for self check in given prior arrival. Room met exact expectation we were looking for our trip. beds ok sleep, bunk had memory mattress which we prefer over sprung ones. Double bed was sprung and we had bouncy night on that haha. but this is a personal preference. bathroom basic, clean. shower has big step and no handle to help to support so found it bit wobbly, mainly as was there with young kids. room was clean, smelled ok, bedfing and towels clean, carpet looked new. working kettle with complimentary coffee, small fridge. views to the street, so kids had fun spying. room above bar, which was busy but didn't caused any noise issue for sleeping with kids, no night disruption either. overall area very calm. no breakfast at hotel which is shame but they served dinners. omg that was best meals out we had in years. we tried burgers, bacon chops and steak, saw lamb chop on other people table and it just looked amazing. my kids are fusdy eaters but chicken bites were amazing and they loved it. older kid had sausages,he demolished them. portions are big and hearty. and i must not miss to mention homemade cheesecake - i wanted to marry the chef. i have never eat cheesecake that tasty. my husband had sunday and kids had chocolate brownie and noone made a sound until plate was clean. it was beyond.... hotel fab location, literally step out to local store, sherppa bus stop and few min walk to mountain or lake train station. you can even walk from hotel into side road leading to Llanberis path. parking on street available or minute walk from hotel. also space or two available in privete parking at back of hotel once you discuss it with staff at bar. no EV chargers at the hotel but less than minute walk, a neighbouring pub has 2 chargers and available to use to all. …

Location is great, but that is about the only good thing! The bathroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while, to the extent that my first job on arrival was to nip across the road and buy some anti bac wipes. The floor is peeling away in the bathroom, and the sliding door doesn’t close properly. The pillow cases and bed sheets were dirty, and the bed itself was uncomfortable. Not a staff member in sight for our entire stay so was unable to attempt to allow them to rectify. Will not stay again.

I spent three nights at Y Gwynedd with two friends when we had to make a last minute change of accomodation in Llanberis. The manager was very welcoming, friendly and attentive, and managed to find us a family room. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, perfect for resting after exploring the surrounding mountains. The Inn is also ideally situated in the village, near many of the attractions and close to the local bus stop. Y Gwynedd was a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely stay there again when visiting Llanberis!

I went to Wales with my 9 years old daughter. Our twin room was clean, had a kettle, teas, coffees and hairdryer. Rooms don't get clean during the stay so we had to buy toilet rolls by ourselves as we were out every day and didn't get chance to meet anyone from hotel service. The only problem was that all rooms are located above the pub, so if you are a light sleeper you won't like it. Fortunately we were tired every day and the noise didn't bother us too much. Location is the best. About 8 minutes to Llanberis Snowdon path, less than a minute to Waterfalls paths, Llyn Padarn lake about 4 minutes, 15 minutes to National Slate Museum. Dinning downstairs serves great food with massive portions. Staff there are super friendly. Atmosphere in the pub created by locals was amazing. They were very friendly to me, giving tips of where to go and what else to see. Overall great place to stay, do lots of walking so downstairs pub won't be a problem 😃…

Location was perfect as on a work trip to Snowdon. However, this hotel (if you can call it that) doesn’t have on site parking. Before my visit I was told there would be plenty of parking in the high street. There is not. This accommodation also does not serve breakfast. However, the crux of my stay was the night’s sleep I did not get. This is apparently now the local pub, and you can certainly tell as you move into the night time hours. Reception is unmanned due to Covid and there is no one around the query anything. Music blaring into the small hours, bottle bins being emptied late at night and other guests being quite rowdy in the halls. The room itself was actually not bad. Comfy bed and simple facilities for a solo traveller, but if you need a good sleep before a busy day, this probably isn’t the place for you.…
