An imposing building in very good shape....some renovation work going on on the 1st floor but of no impact Room was small but the bed was massive so equals out Stayed on the road-side on floor 2. Traffic noise not a problem Room was clean and the shower was very good even though it was an over bath type We had breakfast on 2 mornings which was very good...lots of choices and plenty of drinks. Only the fruit salad was a let down. Everything in together, separate bowls for the fruit would have been better for the taste The bar is great. Plenty of choice for drinks Bar food was very good but a little pricey. Ate there for the 2 nights Very relaxing hotel, would visit again

The hotel staff do a brilliant job - so welcoming and helpful. We had a problem with the heating in our room and we were brought a portable heater within ten minutes of us reporting it, very impressed. The food is excellent quality , hot and generous portions. The breakfast buffet hot food is good. So many hotels let themselves down with Luke warm offerings but NOT here. The standard of cleaning both in our room and all of the public areas is a very high standard. Well done everyone !

Really fantastic stay at this lovely well located hotel. Very homely spacious and exceptionally clean and comfortable room. The public rooms were great too with lots of history to read around the hotel and the bar which was really good. The food and drink in the bar was excellent and swift from ordering to being served even when the place was busy. Our breakfast was excellent too in a lovely room. The staff at this hotel are some of the friendliest and hard working people I have ever seen in such a place even the manager had his sleeves rolled up clearing tables. Great leadership of a lovely team who couldn’t do enough to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks to you all.

Royal Victoria, Llanberis is in need of refurbishment and is looking very tired. The food needs to be more imaginative. The dining room staff were very indifferent and the hotel relied to heavily on casual youngsters who had little or no training. A disappointing visit.

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very helpful. Food was excellent and very enjoyable. There were bars to enjoy and drinks were reasonable. I would definitely return but would ask for a bedroom where the light did not come on auto.

Lovely hotel in a great location, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms nice and clean and a good breakfast with lots of choice. We were doing a charity event for.my daughter and the lady serving breakfast (vera) asked about it then popped over and made a donation. Would love to stay again. If you are there walking or going up snowdon they have a drying room for wet clothes that comes in handy.

From the moment of arrival, the staff were most welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful with a good assortment from fruit to fried. The bar prices especially wine, was quite expensive! The rooms however, are a different story altogether. They are in dire need of refurbishment. The carpets very soiled, the cushions on the beds needn’t have been there, and the window would not open, a cause for concern!! Not for you if your an arachnophobic - although they’re very small there was a few of them.

Our destination following the completion of the 3-peaks challenge. Very well situated for Snowdon at the end of one of the trails. The hotel is a little dated, however was a sight for sore eyes (and legs) a nice bar provided a well deserved beer and the bed was very comfortable. A decent sleep followed by a nice breakfast. Would definitely return if I’m ever crazy enough to repeat the challenge!

We've stayed here before so on this trip to Wales when we found we were only a few miles from Llanberis we knew where to book. There was a minor glitch in communication, probably my fault, but the receptionist pulled out all the stops to ensure we had another excellent stay. They had some coach parties in but there was no dip in the quality of service, which we have encountered at other hotels. The views from the bedroom and the dining room are excellent, the car park was a good size and they have lifts to all floors. The breakfast was amazing. We'll certainly stay again if we are in the area.
