Stayed for 3 nights in early July 2021. Hotel is situated on the main street of Llanberis within walking distance of trhe Snowdon Mountain railway and the lake Railway, and of all of the other restaurants in the village.

Car parking available and even an electric car charging point.

All staff throughout were super friendly.

Our room was large and very comfortable, leather armchairs facing window with mountain views, and an exceptionally soft and comfortable double bed. Bathroom was OK but shower was not particularly powerful and was of the fixed head variety.

The bedrooms are laid out over 2 floors, but visitors should be aware there is no lift in such an old building and the stairs are quite steep.

There was no servicing of the room during our stay, presumably due to Covid, necessitating the need to ask for things that needed replacing such as toilet roll.

Breakfast must be booked in advance with reception the night before - with time slots being available. We had no problem obtaining an acceptable time slot on all 3 mornings. Choice is limited to a range of cereals, toast and a good choice of cooked ingredients. The scrambled egg definitely passed the test and was very good - the sausages however were not good.

I have reviewed the evening meal we ate the first night, in the restaurant entry for this establishment.

The bar regrettably serves only fizz, not a handpump to be seen.

Overall a very comfy stay, in a pleasant hotel made better by the friendly staff. We would happily return

I spent one night at the Padarn Hotel with two friends when we had to make a last minute change of accomodation in Llanberis. The staff were very friendly and were able to fit us in, which we were very grateful for. The room was very comfortable, clean, elegant and quiet, the loudest noises being from the occasional sheep marauding around the village! The hotel restaurant was excellent, with probably one of the best meals we had on our trip to North Wales. We were also able to leave our cases at the hotel after checkout, so we could climb Yr Wyddfa before heading to our next hotel.

The Padarn Hotel comes very recommended from me if you're looking for a smart, friendly and comfortable hotel with an excellent menu! I would definitely stay there again!

We had booked to stay here rather last minute on route to another area. From the minute we pulled up around the back of the hotel we got an awful impression. Grotty & run down. First room we were shown to the lock barely worked on the door, the toilet didn't flush, paint peeling of the walls and doors. Just smelly dark and not inviting. We went to reception and explained and we were told to just pump the toilet handle a few times. Eventually they offered us another room but this one while some bit better as in a little cleaner and more updated it still gave me the creeps. The smell, the decor, the corridors for miles I just didn't feel safe esp with small kids so after dinner out in another restaurant we decided to leave the hotel @ 10pm. Being in our car was better than being in that hotel. Even though we had paid for it I just couldn't sleep here, horrific! I can understand its a welcome place after a days hiking and being out in the air but for a family with young children don't go here. Funnily the two rooms we were given are not shown on any of the websites, so beware.

Very overpriced, very basic and rather grotty hotel.

The corridors smell of stale smoke which is incredible when you think smoking has been banned in such establishments for almost 15 years. The smell in the room was not as strong but still there and now all our clothes smell.

The decor is fired, tatty and outdated - corridors painted white, aqua and cream, with burgundy patterned (smelly) carpets and no sign of the “refurbishments” they boast of.

Our bed was comfortable but the room was grim, and the bathroom awful. We had tepid baths and showers, a hairdryer that blew cold air only (gave up trying to dry my hair in the end), unmatched stained cups, no milk, no TV remote control etc.

At breakfast there were no coffee cups as only 4 had apparently been put out, and I had to wait for the server to touch the insides of all the cups on the shelf before she actually handed me one. Paid £25 for a steak I couldn’t cut let alone eat and was only offered a free dessert to compensate. Breakfast has to be ordered the night before and one of the options is “meat sausage” which pretty much sums this place up.

This was an £80 experience at best (and that is being very generous), cost us £137 a night, and was on booking.com for over £200!

Having said all that, the young staff did their best and were very sweet.

Stayed here when walking up Snowden with two friends and my dog. We stayed in a family room . The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. My dog could go in dining room and there were no problems. The family room was in two parts so a twin room and then a small room with bunk beds . This was great as the dog could not wander as he was in the small bit with me and I could shut him off from my friends in the twin section. Far better than we expected for the money. Stayed for Dinner and Breakfast. Both meals were very good.

Just had two vegetable curries that were the worst I have ever seen and tasted. A few chopped courgettes and carriers with rice that tasted like rubber. The sauce seemed like tinned tomatoes with a bit of chilli powder. If your going to charge people for food it needs to be a lot better than this. Train your cook properly.

Stayed in Padarn Hotel whilst I was in Snowdonia to climb Snowdon. The hotel is situated 10 mins from the LLanberis route and is easily accessible to the mountain.

The hotel is clean and well facilitated with a bistro and sports bar. The food is great with a really good selection and affordable price.

The rooms were really spacious and I have to say it's the comfiest bed I've slept in for years. Even though there was a sports bar downstairs it wasn't too noisy and I slept really well.

Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly.

A perfect basecamp if your climbing or visiting snowdonia.

I would defo return! Thank you.

Excellent hotel, perfect for access to Snowdon and other local attractions. Clean, decent size bedroom with basic amenities for a short stay. On site parking was free and plenty of spaces. Breakfast was well priced for local produce and a good range of cereals/ toast etc. The highlight of our stay is that this hotel is dog friendly and so are the staff! Staff were exceptional and went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Will definitely stay again when visiting the area in the future.
