Detailed Reviews
Nasos and Vanessa were the kindest, most welcoming hosts I have ever experienced at a guesthouse/B&B. My room was warm and cosy, with a comfy bed and clean en-suite with a excellent shower! I chatted with both Nasos and Vanessa each morning at breakfast, which was expertly cooked up by Nasos fresh to request! His potato cakes were my favourite but not to be outdone Vanessa served a fantastic hot chocolate! Being on a capped expensed trip, I chose the Woodhey guest house because of their excellent prices and needless to say the service matched the fantastic value. In future I will always look to return to the Woodhey Guesthouse for future work trips in Wrexham, and hope to visit on a leisure trip to explore the Clwydian Range And Dee Valley Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is near by.
Thanks, Faris

I stayed four nights in the Woodhey while I was traveling in Wales this summer and am so glad I did! The hosts are welcoming, friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate me. The B&B is in a grand old Victorian house in a quiet neighborhood in Wrexham, with large trees that provide shade in the summer. The hosts also live there, and I often felt like a pampered house guest.
My single en suite room on the second floor included a 3/4-size bed, large wardrobe for hanging clothes, two nightstands with drawers, and a comfortable reading charir. There was a kettle for making tea and coffee, and even a packet of biscuits. The bathroom was narrow but functional, with a shower in the corner (no bathtub), small sink, and toilet. The only thing I didn't find and would have liked was a luggage rack for my 25" suitcase (and to be fair, I didn't ask if one was available).
I took advantage of the full breakfast every morning, cooked to order and served in the airy dining room. The dining room is also available for guests who want to bring in a takeout meal. There's a large lounge on the first floor for reading or watching TV and an outdoor garden with shaded tables.
A note to those who are mobility impaired: there is no lift to the upper floors.
The town center is within walking distance, and there are convenience stores, pubs, a fish and chips place, and even a laundrette within a five- minute walk.
I heartily recommend the Woodhey to individuals and families traveling to Wrexham, whether on business or for pleasure. I look forward to staying there again myself.

Me & my 2 mates recently stayed at woodhey guest house while on a mountain biking trip.
We were very pleased as soon as we pulled the van in to the ample offer street parking & were greeted by Vanessa & Nasos, such nice people.
They let us put our bikes in the house for safe keeping.
We each had a very nice clean en suite room with tv, tea & coffee & nice comfy double bed.
The inclusive breakfast was very nice & ample choice. The hosts will accommodate your needs.... just ask!
I am planning to go back as it was very reasonably priced & perfect for my needs.
10 minute walk to town for plenty of pubs & restaurants. Also short drive to llandegla mountain bike trails.
Thankyou Vanessa and Nasos.
I'll definitely stay with you next time I come biking to Wrexham. 5 stars!

I believe this is the best B&B experience I have ever had. It was incredible value for money, the owners were super friendly and very helpful. The place was clean, the house is beautiful, and I loved the gardens. My room was a good size for the price, the ensuite was clean, the shower was good, bed comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again next time I am visiting Erddig National Trust House.

We recently returned from a short stay in this very pleasant guesthouse. Run by a friendly and very hospitable couple, Woodhey Guesthouse is a very short walk from Wrexham Town Centre. They even catered for our four year old!
The breakfast is delightful, and all tastes are catered for; the room we stayed in was more than sufficient for our needs.
Wrexham has two shopping centres, a mainline train station and a large bus station, all within ten minutes of the guesthouse.

Stayed 2 nights and was perfect. Old house and yes it might look a bit tired looking but is clean and tidy. Plenty of space to park your car. About 20 minutes slow walk from bus station and middle of town. Bedroom is big enough as you are old all day. The bed was comfortable and sunk into the mattress.....might not be everyones cup of tea but there you go. Breakfast is ample. Cereal, tea, coffee, toast as well as a tasty full English. We didnt need a lunch it was that filling. The owners are friendly and a lovely couple. Would stay again.

Recently returned from an enjoyable weekend stay here. There was a warm welcome as soon as we arrived, our en-suite room was lovely, and the breakfasts were great (with so much choice available)! The location is excellent, in a quite setting, but only a short walk into town. All in all it was great value for money!

I've stayed here three or four times now when I've been up in Wrexham for work and I won't go anywhere else now. It's a lovely, warm and friendly guest house. Clean and tidy, with nicely decorated rooms... and cheap! The owners couldn't be more welcoming and the breakfast is just superb. It beats me why anyone would pay three or four times the money to stay in some soul-less chain hotel when there are places like Woodhey about...
