Nice relaxing stay really. Small living area which when we arrived had a cot in the room. We weren't asked if we had children, so whilst nice for people who needed it, was a bother for us, having to collapse and the work out where to store it. Not a huge problem, but worth noting. The views of the fields and sheep were just lovely. The owners came to check on us our first nice which was also very nice. Only complaint really was that the bathrooms are very short. My partner is 6'4" he could not shower as his head hit the ceiling.

We stayed in The Barley Store with our 15 month old daughter. The place was perfect for a small family. The owners had prepared the accomodation with a stairgate and cot before our arrival and advised us on local road conditions leading up to our visit regarding recent snow. Really appreciated when travelling with a young child! The farm is set in a stunning location, remote and among rolling hills, winding lanes with hump back bridges and babbling streams. Perfect. The accomodation is basic, clean and reasonably priced. The furniture was sturdy and rooms clutter free, again really helpful when travelling with a small child. Bed really comfy! Only gave 4stars for sleep quality due to sharing a room with our daughter who cries a lot, no real reflaction on the accomodation itself. Owners really helpful bith before and during the stay. Felt very comfotable wondering around the farm and made to feel very welcome. Also really appreciated the extra storage space / drying room for my husband's bike and drying wet clothes. Everything had been considered. Now thinking of doing group family booking later in the year as enjoyed it so much!

We really liked it here. It was our first trip away with our 4 month old baby and the cottage had everything we needed. The surroundings are relaxing as the views are all of fields and sheep. We enjoyed the fresh eggs from the farm and the cottage owners were friendly and helpful. There is nothing nearby so driving is required but we did go for a lovely walk around the farm. In the night we could hear the sheep at times but we did not mind! We really enjoyed our stay.

I spent a relaxing week with my partner in the lovely Barley Store, one of the three cottages at Llanilid. The accommodation itself was perfect for the two of us, well equipped and in a beautiful location. The owners were welcoming, advising us on the local area and were more than willing for us to explore the organic farm, which had wonderful views of the Brecon Beacons. The area was fantastic for cycling, walking and fishing and we made good use of the storage room adjacent to the cottage for our muddy bikes and boots on our return. In the evening we discovered fantastic traditional pubs serving great food, all close by. And well within half an hour's drive we found first class restaurants, perfect for special occasions. This was an ideal antidote to the stresses of city life and we hope to return with friends to one of the 4bed cottages in the future.
