Stayed here with friends in our caravans with young children. What a setting. Amazing views. Amenities are very good and clean. Welcomed by the owner who was very nice and drove us to our pitch etc. Even those who are sited there were very welcoming. Hills sited at the main entrance has lovely food and well worth a visit. Pool, due to COVID-19 was closed unfortunately. Will definitely be coming again.
I booked a one night stay on the campsite with a group of friends a few weeks ago, a mixture of male and female between the ages of 28-30. We're all civilsed professionals who were looking for a quiet and relaxing environment for the evening before the end of the summer. We all arrived at the campsite separately with our cars, I unloaded my car and within minutes and a man came over to us in his golf like buggy shouting that we hadn't paid, unbeknownst to us we had to stop at reception and pay as we arrived, this is not stated clearly as you enter the campsite and the barrier to enter was up. We had every intention of heading to reception to pay out £20 on our way over to the restaurant two hours later. The same thing happened to my friend, except the same man threatened to throw them off the campsite immediately, he was extremely rude and bitter. 10 of us set-up camp, headed over for food in the lovely Hills at 6pm where we received a warm and welcoming service and enjoyed our night. Two hours later we walked back over to the campsite where we sat around our tents with campsite lights on, of the way of everyone. We had no music, did a quiz and were all sleeping by 11:30pm. We consumed very little alcohol and we made very little noise over and above general chat. We were also secluded in a bottom field on the campsite with no one around us for approx 700 yards. We have since been accused of setting off fireworks on the night of our stay, again something which is completely untrue - we had no intention of setting off fireworks nor did we take any with us. Laughable and untrue, I would like to see the evidence. All in all, what started as a fun and relaxed night between friends was turned immediately sour by the man who appeared to be the owner. I would strongly recommend changing your attitude and the manner in which you speak to customers moving forward. Maybe if you were nicer to your paying customers you would have more business and in turn have more money to develop your run down 'campsite'? Food for thought. We will definitely not be returning.…
On arrival was shown diffrent areas by the owner who i must say is very friendly and nice man.the facilities are four star. Lovey and clean toilets with hot showers, swimming pool was nice and clean and great for a swim.the onsite restraunt was great. Couldnt recomend this site enough and Looking forward to coming back,The veiws are spectacular.
Second stay at bishops meadow. Perfect camp site with a pool. Also has restaurant and bar on site and is set in an idealic country area. Well worth a visit. We stayed for the weekend. Half hour stroll into Brecon Town. Toilet and shower facilities in site are excellent with plenty of hot water
Site in a beautiful area. Lovely guy running it who is super helpful. A couple of issues is that the toilets are far from the camp site. There is no escape from smokers who where right by us and seemed to smoke non stop. Music played well into the night with no enforcement of quiet rules. Views are incredible from the camping field. Loads of dog walking space. Nice pool small but we didn't use. Good play area for kids. This is the only thing that I can say wrong about this site. Good value
