Never tire of going back to the Lodge; the warmth and attentiveness of the hosts Steve and Bronwyn make for a relaxing stay in ideal surroundings. Bright rooms with comfortable beds and all the facilities that one needs to make a few days away a memorable experience. A cooked breakfast with foods sourced locally sets one up for the day. Lots to see and do in the area, with easy and more challenging walks and places to eat in the locality. Highly recommend this B&B.

The Lodge is the complete and quintessential B&B experience, starting with a warm welcome from owners Steve and Bronwyn who help you move into an immaculate room with extraordinary views of the Brecon Beacons with a foreground field of sheep being herded by bossy dogs. Steve and Bronwyn offer personalized advice on what to see and do, even checking to make sure things are open the day you want to go. You fall asleep in an ultra comfy bed, then awaken to a scrumptious breakfast cheerfully served. They prepare scrumptious local ingredients, and this is the first place we’ve found that serves crispy bacon without asking! It’s the total package from beginning to end, and if every B&B was like The Lodge, hotels would go out of business. Thanks so much, Steve and Bronwyn!

Our fourth stay! A warm welcome from Steve and Bronwyn, the perfect hosts with helpful advice on places to go, directions etc. Lovely, relaxing guest lounge with wonderful views of the Brecon Beacons, very useful for wet afternoons!! Also incredibly useful was the drying room, complete with individual boot dryers, so our clothes and boots are nice and dry for the next day's walking. Bedroom spotless with a super-comfy bed and great views over the lake and garden, and nice touches including biscuits and fresh milk for tea and coffee. Plenty of parking. Superb breakfast each morning. Definitely be back soon.

Such a great setting, and Steve and Bronwyn care so much about their business, from homemade jam and marmalade to delicious homemade vegetarian sausages. We had a great stay and enjoyed yoga in the garden under the pagoda in a peaceful beautiful landscape.

Another warm welcome at The Lodge. We returned to The Lodge for the 5th visit. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had spectacular scenery of Brecon Beacons from our bedroom window. An amazing breakfast was cooked to order by Bronwen. They were also able to accommodate the special diet options we asked for at breakfast. Steve will suggest great walks and activities to try. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

This is the second time I have stayed at The Lodge when walking in the Brecon Beacons and I can honestly say it is one of my favourite B&Bs. Steve and Bronwyn are great hosts, and made us feel very welcome from the start. The rooms are all sizable, very comfortable and spotless and come with views of the mountains too. They have clearly thought about the needs of walkers and have an excellent drying room for your walking gear, which being Wales can get wet. You even have hot air dryers to put in your boots! A great location too. Only a few minutes drive from Brecon and a short drive from some great and quite routes up onto Pen-y-fan and the surrounding hills. The breakfasts are really good too. Would really recommend The Lodge if you are planning a trip to the Beacons. 10 out of 10

Perfect location to explore Brecon Beacons. The room was great, the view of the mountains was stunning and the bed was very comfortable. The dry room is very useful if the weather is not great and you have wet boots and clothes! The place is quiet and incredibly relaxing. You can only hear birds and sheep. Steve and Bronwyn were always kind and available to give us plenty information on the walks. Breakfast was delicious!
