Situated in a gorgeous location in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons our sioux tipis, Bell Tent and camping cabin are set in a gently sloping field bordered by the River Cynrig. All units have their own outdoor bbq/campfire, seating and hammock area - lovely for spending the long summer evenings eating alfresco under the stars in a Dark Sky Reserve. All units are all kitted out with fire pits or log burner, cooking equipment, gas camping stoves, cool box. The hassle of normal camping is taken away - just bring bedding, food and a sense of adventure and you are good to go!! Our tipis are open from April - September. Our camping cabin is open year round and the cosy log burner makes it ideal for a winter getaway!! The cabin has its own private bucket shower and compost toilet.

Many thanks to Rob for a beautiful, quiet retreat. The facilities were excellent with every attention to detail really well thought out. We stayed in the large bell tent and particularly enjoyed having both the facilities of the kitchenette and the campfire. The shower block and toilets were clean with plenty of hot water. We were allocated our own shower and toilet to minimise risks regarding Covid and there were plenty of sanitising stations around the site. The site was safe and secure and there was also a homely and community atmosphere about the place.

We loved everything about this campsite. We stayed in the Large Bell tent which was very comfortable and spacious for a family of 4. The Shepherds hut to cook in was fab and gave us two hang out spaces during the rainy days/evenings to play games in. The site is very picturesque with good facilities and very children friendly. We enjoyed playing in the river as well as just tell stories around the fire. We are hoping to go back soon and have been raving about Camp Cynrig to our friends and family.

We stayed as a family of five in the log cabin for a week and had a truly fantastic time. The cabin itself was superb, with every camping requirement incorporated including indoor log burner, outdoor fire pit bbq, log burning oven and unique bucket shower - loved by all! The owner, Rob, has designed the whole site and is also an incredibly friendly and helpful host (if required). The location is also great, with great walks and accessible climbing at Pen y Fan on the doorstep. Add in farm shops and some decent weather and you have the perfect stress free (off grid) outdoors break. Highly recommended.

What a gorgeous glamping site! My boyfriend and I stayed here in the log cabin for 2 weeks and it was a wonderful holiday! The cabin was immaculate and wonderfully decorated with lots of little touches added throughout! The log fire inside the cabin was so cosy, especially in the early mornings and at night! The cabin has USB charging ports next to the beds, which was perfect for charging your phones (although you definitely do not need them!). The cabin had its only private toilet cabin which was very clean and also an outdoor shower! We also had access to the shared facilities (toilets, sinks etc) which were also immaculate! Outside the cabin we had our own cooking hob, utensils and sink! There was also a wood fired oven which we made homemade pizzas on numerous nights and they tasted amazing!.. We had our own little fire pit area as well which was perfect for bbq's and toasting marshmallows! The location was absolutely wonderful! It was so quiet and peaceful and listening to the river running through the campsite was so relaxing! There were also so many lovely walks and activities in the surrounding area! I highly recommend this campsite to anybody that is thinking of booking! I will definitely be back! Thank you so much Rob for your great hospitality!

We have just returned from a 5 night stay with our 3 young children (7, 5 & 2). I think we can safely say this is the best break we have ever had! We stayed in the lodge which the children were very excited about. You can see the effort that Rob has put into building it and everything was thought of from the fully stocked kitchenette to the smaller details such as little usb torches next to the beds for the night time visits to the loo. The lodge came with its own private eco toilet which was immaculate and also an outdoor shower operated with pulleys and buckets. I don’t think my children have ever been so excited to have a shower every night! The whole site runs alongside the river which was securely fenced off so no need to worry about little ones wandering off. It was great to be able to pop down for a paddle and also see the sheep that popped down and said hello most evenings which the children loved! There is also a communal kitchen and shower/ toilet block. The showers were lovely and hot and were spotlessly clean. The best thing was just how peaceful and quiet everything was. At night, all you could hear was the river running past and the odd owl hooting. Our children were so happy being able to run around on the grass, using their imaginations and just being children! Having got home and cooked dinner this evening, it was a lot less satisfying than preparing a meal on an open camp fire! Thanks again for a wonderful holiday and we will be back next year!
