Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent B&B with very warm and knowledgeable hosts (had a full run down of where to eat - very useful!). We had a super room, and the breakfast was excellent (even had an Abba soundtrack one day - who could ask for more!). We will definitely be back!

When you are in a beautiful place like Brecon it is easy to be knowledgeable because it is great fun learning about it. Glad you enjoyed the ABBA not everybody's taste but my house so I get to choose. It was nice seeing you both.

We had a really lovely stay for two nights at The Grange. Kathleen and Dave, the owners couldn't have been more welcoming. Everything was spotless and they have anticipated your every need. Lovely attention to detail. Great breakfast. The position in town is perfect, walking distance to everything. Lovely and warm and welcoming. Will definitely go back and stay again. We used the opportunity to walk up Pen Y Fan but will go back to do other walks and sightseeing, such a beautiful place to visit.

What a fabulous place. Stayed here for 2 nights and could not have had a warmer welcome from the owners. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast delicious and the helpfulness of both Dave in his very stylish waistcoat and his wife Kathie were second to none. We had come to climb Pen Y Fan and Dave offered lots of advice and maps to help us first timers! We would not hesitate to return.

Brilliant stay! Right in the middle of Brecon, parking included for free which is ideal! Hosts are very friendly and make you feel as if nothing is any problem. Room very clean and spacious, we upgraded to a king size room which was ideal. Breakfast was very good and use local butcher which is a nice touch. Overall a very nice B&B, would definately stay again.

There's a reason why we've never seen a negative review of Grange Guest House - it's because it's B&B perfection. The rooms are clean, well equipped and well tended to. The owners, Kathleen and David, were friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was fantastic every single day and we could not have been happier with our stay. There are multiple supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and cafes all within a few minutes walk. It's the perfect hub not only for exploring the beautiful town of Brecon, but also the national park as a whole. With Hay-on-Wye a mere 25min drive away, and two dark sky reserves within a 15min drive, it's the perfect home for booklovers, stargazers and hikers alike. We can't wait to come back!

Lovely, welcoming hosts, spotlessly clean, big bedroom and superb breakfast. Lots of advice on places to eat and go and central to all the amenities you’d want. The Brecon Tap is one to try for good food and excellent beers. Would definitely recommend.

everything about this is guest house so clean, welcoming & made to feel one of the family with nothing too much trouble. We stayed for 3 nights & were given an excellent breakfast each morning. We will most certainly be booking again in the future & will have no hesitation in recommending 100%. We were sorry to have to leave to return home after a very memorable birthday break.
