We stayed for 4 nights after one very wet night glamping. It was a last minute booking and The Grange could not of been more helpful. We had our 10yo son with us and stayed in the family room in the top floor. Very comfortable room and beds plus nice hot shower. Breakfast was excellent and fresh. Also we were at Bike Park Wales for two days and the jet wash at the park was broken. The owners very kindly let us use the garden hose to clean our bikes in the rear car park and even offered to securely store our bikes. The garden is lovely and the location is fabulous, easy walking distance to Brecon Town and some fabulous restaurants reccomended by the owner. We would highly recommend as a high quality place to stay if going to Bike Patk Wales as it's a lovely drive to BPW and Merthyr is not as nice as Brecon! We are returning in October

What a lovely place to stay. We had a large room you could swing a horse in and it was also a very clean and comfortable room. A big bonus is this property has its own free off street parking and the location is perfect as it’s an easy walk to anywhere in town. Our hosts Kathleen and David are such a lovely couple, as they went out of their way to make us feel both comfortable and most welcomed. Kathleen cooked up a delicious breakfast each morning and David was a pleasure to chat to over breakfast. Thank you David and Kathleen for having us at your beautiful guest house. Highly recommended! Ps thanks for the Vegemite 😊 Cheers Anne and Warren

Stayed at The Grange Guest House for three nights while in Brecon for a wedding, and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

First of all the building is a beautiful house set just off the road, with ample private parking and less than two minute’s walk from the High Street itself, though you’d never believe you were so close.

For the moment I arrived the hosts were incredibly attentive, and there was a real feel that they wanted to look after you during your stay in any way they could. The rooms were spacious, very clean and tidy, and came with all the facilities you could possibly need/want, including small touches that make a huge difference like the availability of fresh milk kept in a fridge rather than the usual UHT option. Bed was very comfortable indeed with spare pillows available and good quality bedding.

Provided with a map of the town on arrival and plenty of tailored recommendations of places to visit and eat. Breakfast was pre-ordered by placing your options sheet in a box in the hallway by 8pm each night, there was a wide range of hot and cold options available, including fresh fruit, and all very high quality produce. You also got the feeling that if a sudden change of mind happened on the breakfast front it wouldn’t be a problem at all, such was the friendly and helpful nature of the hosts.

All in all a fantastic stay, and would definitely suggest anyone visit Brecon should place The Grange at the top of their accommodation list!

The Grange was everything we had hoped it would be. Warm, welcoming, comfortable, friendly and perfectly placed for local services and touring the area. The room (superking) had enough floorspace for us to do our back exercises; beds were very comfy and despite fronting onto the street, we had no problem with traffic noise. Everything in the bathroom was spotless and fully functional. Breakfast met all our needs. Parking is in a private space at the rear. We would definitely stay here again.

What an amazing experience we had in this lovely guest house. Kathleen and David are so passionate about ensuring a great time. The whole property, inside and out, was spotless to military rounds standards.
The breakfast was varied and plentiful, served piping hot from the kitchen, the beds were comfortable, the shower clean and full of essentials.
If you are looking to stop in Brecon you will do a lot worse than going here.

The hosts David and Kathleen were excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and suggested things for us to do to keep us all busy.
The accommodation is very nice clean tidy and finished to a high spec. A 2 minute walk into Brecon town, great location opposite a supermarket and there is parking at the rear of the B&B.
The breakfast was great and we were always offered more. Me and the Mrs were veggies David got us soya milk for our teas and coffees, just little bits like that going the extra mile was really appreciated. I've been going to Brecon for the past 9 years and I can say this is the best B&B we have stayed in.

We both highly recommend this gem. Thank you to David & Kathleen for our wonderful stay last weekend. They both have high standards for their guests and are friendly, informative and attentive hosts.
Our bedroom was lovely. It was very comfortable & clean and had lovely touches, like a choice of pillows, extra blankets, books to read. The ensuite was spotless and had discreet instructions for how to use the shower - after struggling in other premises this was appreciated. A set of white towels and shampoo & conditioner was provided
Breakfasts are personalised and delicious, and we were well looked after with thoughtful attention and friendly banter. Parking facilities are safe. There are maps & leaflets available.
Brecon is just a short walk down the road, so all facilities are easily available. We had no plans to walk the hills on this January stay so we enjoyed the impressive Brecon museum, shops, art galleries, eating & drinking places. There is also a cinema and theatre. We saw a stag deer on our local drive by the mountain centre and enjoyed a stroll along the canal. It goes without saying that the countryside around is beautiful.
Many thanks.

Thank you Kathleen and David for our great stay with you for Brecon Jazz weekend, our room with ensuite and view of garden was fab. Breakfast with good choice on menu was perfect. Parked our car for weekend in reserved parking space for us at rear of property, your location is great in the centre of town walking distance to canal for walks and local amenities. Highly recommend and looking forward to our stay for next years Brecon Jazz 2025 😊

Absolutely great stay, the owners were very welcoming and helpful throughout our one night stay! My wife had been staying all week and normally as a coeliac, struggles with food, but this wasn’t the case and the owners went out of their way to accommodate her requirements, for which she thanks them very much! The room we stayed in was of a lovely size, with modern en-suite and although facing the main road was very quiet. Ample off road parking at the back is available, with a few off road bays at the front. The house is situated within walking distance of the shops, amenities and the head of the canal. If you wish to walk up Pen-y-fan, there is parking 2 miles away, that is away from the main tourist routes and would provide a good hike south to the summit. We spent Saturday walking the 4 waterfalls, which the owners provided advice for, which was very helpful! Overall a lovely stay and fully recommended!

We stayed in this very well appointed guest house whilst visiting family members in South Wales. It was excellent as a two night base and we will use it again. Our bed was comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean and lacked nothing. The breakfast choice catered all needs and was served by the hosts. We were also delighted that there was a private car park with an allocated space which meant we didn't need to search the surrounding streets of Brecon! The owners, David and Kathleen, are a delightful couple who seem to do everything themselves, and they do it VERY WELL, they couldn't have been more helpful. It was worth the visit just to meet them! We went to The Grange because we couldn't find anywhere else, in future it will be our first choice. (Mr and Mrs Williams)
