#4 of 15 B&Bs / Inns in Bridgend
A family run bed and breakfast which was opened by Graham Henry Welsh Rugby Coach in 1999. Bridgend is an industrial and market town. The house has a very friendly and homely atmosphere. Our guests come back time and time again. Being in Bridgend it is very convenient for most of South Wales as it is situated between Swansea and Cardiff, on the main London railway line, just off the M4 motorway, near to the coast, within 40 miles of the Brecon Beacons mountain range, 18 miles from Cardiff, and with such various facilities such as cycle tracks and others too numerous to name.

A warm welcome from the owner and he clearly loves what he does and has made a good job of making the place just right. Close to the town, an appealing house, lovely, spacious and stylish. Wonderful home cooked breakfast with direct contact with the host, couldn’t fault it, would definitely stay again, thank you

Beautifully appointed room in very nice and clean house. Comfy & quiet. Breakfast cooked to perfection by very welcoming host. Good amenities - nice large car park. Glad I have found this for any future visits to the area.

My family and I stayed at Mair's for one night's stay. The owner Huw welcomed us on arrival and was very friendly/accommodating. My sister's family had a mix up with their travel plans but nothing was too much trouble for Huw. We all enjoyed an exceptional home cooked breakfast and my niece was able to make her own toast as she is a super fussy eater! I would definately recommend Mair's and will be staying here again no doubt!

Just returned home from a very enjoyable two night stay. Excellent location with a decent size car park, which is a huge bonus. The room was lovely, recently refurbished and very clean with comfortable beds. Communal areas (basically hallway and kitchen) kept nice and clean. Breakfast was great, with toast, orange juice, yoghurts, cereals, and a freshly cooked breakfast. Everyone very friendly and helpful in this family run business. Thank you for a lovely stay. The only thing I wasn’t too keen on was that after a 5 hour drive we arrived to find no-one on site, and had to call and wait 5 minutes or so. If we’d known we would have called ahead when we were near and had a good idea of an arrival time, but then to be fair we did book through booking.com so maybe that is explained if you book direct. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and Mairs would be our first port of call if we are in the area again.

Stayed here for one night to attend a nearby wedding in Southerndown. This is such a lovely B&B and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room was beautifully done out and really clean. Huw the owner could not have been friendlier and more helpful and he cooked us a lovely breakfast in the morning too! Thanks Huw for a fantastic stay.
