Booked in advance for an evening meal celebrating a belated birthday treat. Over all the evening was nice. We were a little disappointed with how small and cramped the bar was for a pre dinner cocktail which didn't give a comfortable relaxing ambience. A little disappointed that the waitress had no idea whether a fish dish could be served without a chilli sauce or if the chilli sauce was hot and when returning from asking the chef I was told ' chef said every ones palate is different but yes you can have it without the sauce'... My husband doesn't drink wine. When asked what I would like to drink I asked for a glass of merlot and the same waitress returned stating merlot isn't served by the glass, only a bottle and she didn't know what to suggest as an alternative and had to ask her colleague. Similarly for the desert the waitress didn't know if ice cream was available as an alternative to the limited desserts on the menu and had to head off to ask the chef etc. This may sound trivia but for a supposedly first class restaurant and an overly price a la carte menu one would expect a first class table service with the waitress having knowledge of wines and foods available etc. There appeared to be limited staff ( two ladies whilst we were there) who attended the bar and waited upon the tables, nevertheless they were very attentive and very polite. We did enjoy the evening and our meal but a tad disappointed that it wasn't the 'black tie' service we expected.

32 of us went for a family meal and you couldn’t fault it! The food was amazing and the service was brilliant. Lots of choice with food and drinks. Special mention to Craig who made our night more fantastic. He went over and above with service. He was extremely accommodating and we couldn’t fault him. I hope management appreciate him. All of the staff we came across were well mannered and polite and were eager to please. We will definitely go back and can highly recommend to go here.
