It's an amazing choice, specially if you don't have much time to spend in the city. It's close to everything, 5 minutes walking from Cardiff Castle and amost all the attractions. I went out and didn't need a taxi. I really recommend it!

I have been here around 4 times over the past 4-5 years and I must say this is a great place for family and friends. Great breakfasts in the morning and nice place to have a chat or watch a movie. Toilets are quite clean

We stayed here for the week end with 5 friends and we really loved it and felt at home. It is a family thing and they really care about pleasing the people. Free breakfast is really rich and good, free pizza night was cool too, they didn't have to do it but they did and it was really kind of...

I have tried four different well rated hostels here in Cardiff, and only in this one I felt like at home , the staff is joyful, sympathetic and organized; It is really easy to share a chat with the roommates, especially when cooking. All staff were friendly and welcoming Especially Annita and you feel at home in this hostel. Charlie and Abi who are brother and sister and the owners of the hostel are very friendly....

I booked 5 days in this hostel: 3 days in a woman only room & 2 days in a mixed room. The woman only room was nice, but it you have to take your bag 47 steps upstairs and the top beds are not comfortable because the ceiling is 30 cm above the bed, you barely can seat on your...

This place has feather pillows which pretty much tells you the standard of accommodation offered. I have zero complaints about this place. The beds were comfortable and clean. Lockers were free and in our rooms. I never had to wait for a toilet or shower, all of which were clean and there seemed to be unlimited hot water. The breakfasts...

Stayed at The River House for one night in a private room. Room and bathrooms were both clean and comfortable, our room was on the bottom floor near the kitchen so we were concerned about noise however we had no issues. The breakfast is amazing and all the staff were lovely and really helpful. Enjoyed pizza and cider in the...
