Few sites can match the unique location of Cardiff Caravan and Camping Park situated in around 300 acres of beautiful parkland in the heart of Cardiff city centre. It makes the perfect base from which to enjoy the many attractions and events in and around the city.Despite its central location, there's a truly rural feel to the Cardiff Caravan and Camping Park, making it easy to forget that the city centre is just a short walk away and the waterfront attractions of Cardiff Bay are within easy reach by road or water bus. There’s no end of great attractions and activities on the doorstep including Bute Park, Cardiff Castle, the Millennium Stadium, National Museum Wales, Cardiff International White Water, the Doctor Who Experience and one of the UK's top shopping centres, with plenty more to discover within an hour’s drive.

Detailed Reviews
The city centre with its bars, restaurants and Principality Stadium about 25 minutes’ walk away. The shower and toilet block could do with an update though. Reasonably priced at £35 a night but minimum of 2 nights if big events on in the city.

Toilets and showers weren't clean. No evidence of cleaning while we stayed.i avoided touching the walls while I was showering. The drop down seat was really dirty. There was a bucket and mop which they asked you to use but the water was dirty brown while we were there.i don't ask for much in the was of facilities but clean toilets s and showers should be something everyone can get right. The location is excellent for the getting into the city. The surroundings are lovely the campsite not so much. Very ordinary

This site is really ok . I didn’t find the toilets bad at all they are warm clean , plenty of decent loo roll and hand cleaner and cleaned regularly, they are not camping and caravan club site standards but I didn’t expect them to be.
The location is brilliant close to town and right on cycle routes plus it’s obvious that Cardiff Council have really thought about cyclists the route to the bay is well signed with great traffic light crossings.
The staff on the site are really helpful. The pitches aren’t the biggest but perfectly adequate and although we suffered heavy rain and where we were located did suffer some water it went as quick as it came.
On arrival I was a little shocked at the tight turns at the entrance which surprised me as it’s is a poor layout and wakes you up when towing a long caravan.
We enjoyed our 5 days at this site and we were pleasantly surprised how nice Cardiff town and surrounding areas were.

Campsite was great in terms of location but I wouldn't go back because of the following:
1. Free WiFi was advertised but they only had the Cardiff free WiFi only reaching to the reception.
2. I was the only one in the shade with no sun reaching me when everyone else was sunbathing, i asked if I can move as there were enough pitches but was told I can't
3. 4G reception was great apart from the campsite.

Excellent location right in town and an easy walk to the castle, Cardiff Arms Park etc. Toilets and showers a bit run down and could do with a thorough clean and only 2 shower/toilet blocks with 2 showers and 3 toilets in each doesn’t seem enough for a camp this size. That said I never had to wait. Nathan who did our booking was very, very helpful and has great customer service skills.

Lovely well maintained camping, caravan and motorhome park. A quiet green space about a 15 minute walk to Cardiff city. Several pubs doing food within walking distance and good bus & train links in the city, although Ubers are reasonably priced.
We stayed for several nights and left our motorhome parked on site and either walked or got Ubers to various sightseeing destinations.
Would definitely recommend.

Stayed two nights. Easy walk in to the city centre and bay. The guy in reception was really helpful and recommended that we keep our bikes in their lock up when we were not using them. Facilities were clean, Yes a little dated but absolutely fine. Water on each pitch and really easy drive over waste water. We'll definitely be back, thanks .

Great location, near the playing fields and the cafe and bistro area of Pontcanna.
Stones throw from Sophia Gardens, cricket ground and city centre.
Such potential , the site is well laid out (see map), staff friendly and helpful. The facilities have the potential to be great, toilet block tired, water supplies not all working. Needs investment from the council, as they own the site and collect the relatively high fees.
This could be a jewel in the Cardiff crown!

The price per night for single occupancy is just £25 with hook-up.
yes as long as its not dangerous. Dogs are chargeable at just £1 per dog per night.
Hello, we are just a short 15 minute walk to the Castle. Which is in the centre of Cardiff. Thanks
