First class affordable accommodation. Very good breakfast also, from fruits, cereal and yoghurts to full Welsh cooked. Comfort and cleanliness were king. We will be returning next time we are in Cardiff. We would recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation.

We arrived early and parked on the carpark easy enough although later on the carpark was full( pay at the desk) . We asked if our room was ready and a friendly gentleman said it was and checked us in which was quick and efficient. Our room was excellent with a king size bed, kitchen area with everything you need,, oven , hob, dishwasher, utensils and crockery, kettle with tea and coffee etc and all was spotless.
There was a big table and chair plus big comfy chair and a full length window overlooking the river (only downside this didn't open but air conditioning in the room). Lovely modern bathroom with accessories also iron and ironing board. The hotel itself was excellent with plenty of seating areas, a small shop, a quiet Den area overlooking the river, outdoor area to sit overlooking the Wharf, small gym and connection to the holiday inn express next door to use their facilities. Breakfast was included which again was amazing, hot breakfast to help yourself, tea, coffee, juice, toast, cereal, pastries, fruit etc everything you could possibly need just help yourself. Overall hotel was excellent in a great location which was about 10 mins to Cardiff bay one way and about 20-25mins to Cardiff city the other way. Staff were all friendly and the gentleman at the desk was very helpful in giving us directions. We will return as first time in Cardiff but definitley we will return and would stay here again.

Onsite parking for the 'early birds' charged at £10 per night with a barrier controlled private car park right outside. The check-in and welcome was bland verging on 'I can't be bothered to smile or look you in the face', but this poor young man was clearly working every hour available as he was there all day into the evening and then again first thing the next day. on both days of our stay. Would have marked service higher if he could have mustered a smile or conversation at check-in. Due to really bad traffic our journey from North Devon [a mere 40 miles as the crows flies] had taken over 3 1/2 hours.

The hotel is clean and modern with access to lifts and your rooms is via a touch key card. Our suite had a large king sized bed, with a proper mattress [not two singles pushed together with that horrible gap down the middle.] The bed was comfy and we both slept very well. The room had a kitchen with an oven, micro-wave, a fridge and even a dishwasher, together with plates, glass etc.!

On first appearance the toilet, shower with large cubicle and rain showerer looked clean, but on closer inspection the tiled walls could have done with some bleach and the extractor fan outlet had clearly not been cleaned for 'some time', if ever?

Breakfast was included, fruit, pancake machine, cereals, both hot English and Continental offerings together with toasters and tea and coffee. Breakfast was self service which worked very well, and the food was of a high standard and most importantly the hot food was actually hot. The staff at breakfast were friendly and we were treated to a number of nice smiles. The staff clearly all work extremely hard for a basic wage.

Walk to the centre of town was approximately 20 minutes, but all flat and easy to find the route. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you all for a pleasant stay.

I’ve stayed in a number of Staybridge hotels around the country and this was my least favourite.

The hotel was very basic. I was underwhelmed by our deluxe suite as what I paid for did not reflect the quality and for the same price, I would of received a much nicer suite at the London or Manchester branches.

There were no instructions on how to use the oven. Only until asked at the front desk we found out the microwave was combined with the oven.

The showers was terrible!! However, the receptionist do offer us the shower in the next room but we thought the hassle of taking our toiletries and clean clothes to next room wasn’t worth it so we endured the cold water.

Breakfast was minimal but the dining area was relaxing due to there not being a busy breakfast rush

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the this hotel for a relaxing stay but would be good if in Cardiff for a concert/match and just need somewhere to sleep for a few hours.

Hotel: Super friendly and helpful front desk staff, and are happy to assist guests enquiries. There is an automatic bean to cup coffee machine for guests to use in the common area that offers a variety of coffee recipes or hot chocolate, there are also a selections of tea bags available. The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast which is a plus, although the breakfast selections and quality is not that high, it was still alright and reasonable for the price of the stay.

Cleanliness: The hotel overall is very clean and the room itself is clean and tidy. but some of the kitchen utensils and tableware were a bit dirty.

Location: Good Location in the Cardiff bay area, very close to the red dragon center which offers variety of restaurants and activities to do. Hotel also offers onsite parking but for a small fee, more can be found on parking on hotel website.

Room: Moderate size studio room, and a good bathroom, room looks newly furnished, you feel comfortable in the room as it is like a normal studio apartments, the kitchen comes fully equipped, However, some of the knifes in the kitchen are bend or chipped. Bedside also features wall socket and USB port outlet

Food at the hotel: Complementary breakfast options was good, and the quality for the price paid is acceptable.

Fitness / Spa: Small gym with few different equipments including free weights and cable machines. The gym is very clean and also offers guests towel and bottle water.

Overall: Great experience, value for the money, very good for business trip or just exploring Cardiff. and if you prefer self catering, this would be the hotel to go to!

Good size rooms. Very modern with a great walk in shower. All towels and amenities were provided.

Kitchen area in the room had a small oven (two shelves) with a dishwasher, fridge and sink. They provided all cutlery, clothes and dishwashing supplies.

Iron, ironing board and safe in the wardrobe.

Free breakfast was good, bacon, sausage, eggs, beans & tomatoes on the hot food. Pastries, fruit, yoghurt and cereal also available. Tea, coffee and juice provided.

This is an easy review that can be summed in two words: Absolutely Incredible”

The room was extremely spacious and well equipped with a complete kitchen! It was clean and well kept. The staff were all fabulous from the receptionist to the cleaners and kitchen staff. Joanne in the kitchen deserves a special mention. The staff went out of their way to make the stay 5 stars. The buffer was amongst the best I’ve ever had and I’m quite well travelled. Not only was it well stocked they supply paper bags in the event you want to take some pastries away with you !! I’ve never been anywhere that does that.

I would absolutely, categorically and definitely come again.

Arrived about midday, couldn't check in until 4pm, but we were allowed to leave the car in their carpark. There's a £10 charge for this overnight.
The apartment was really nice, a lovely kitchen and seating area, bedroom with bathroom. Our room on the third floor had a little balcony with a table and a couple of chairs, nice views of the dock area too. The bathroom has a bath and shower, the kitchen is well appointed with a fridge, dishwasher etc. They sell food and stuff in the reception area, but there's a convenience store next to the suites.
It's about a 15 minute walk into Cardiff centre one way, and Cardiff bay the other way, both well worth a visit.
Breakfast was lovely, a nice dining area, friendly staff and a good selection of food. We really enjoyed our stay, would visit again.

Our suite, which is like an up-market bedsit, was comfortable and clean. As we stayed during a heatwave, the room air conditioning was very efficient, relatively quiet and very welcome. Whilst our balcony overlooked the wharf/water, the constant drone from the road traffic/road noise opposite on the Central link road limited our wish to stay out. Breakfast ok/average. Location is about 15 minute walk from both the Bay and City Centre. Taxis readily available £5-£7 into the city.
Secure car park was a big factor in choice of this hotel.

We stayed here for 6 weeks, me, my husband, 1 year old and dog. East access to Cardiff bay and also Cardiff city area.

The reception staff, shout out to Bailey, are amazing and Karen the general manager runs a tight ship. Nothing was too much trouble for them, including signing for my million parcels which arrived to the hotel.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with balcony, which was modern, clean and super comfortable with excellent a/c in the lounge area, along with a fully equipped kitchen. We were able to work remotely from this property too with ease Breakfast is basic but it's fine, although the sausages were a bit ropey, even my puppy turned his nose up🤣

Was not able to access features of a smart TV such as Netflix, prime video so bring your Firestick!

Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and for all your help.

Ruth
