Having stayed on a previous occasion, i didn't hesitate to re-book the Cathedral, the welcome from Liz was great as always, the room was spotless, plenty of tea and coffee in the room, bathroom again spotless, Breakfast is something to really look forward to, plenty of juices, hot drinks, and cereals, BUT the cooked breakfast is Amazing, i would recommend...

Returned here for a second visit, and I still stand by my previous review from 18-12-11. An excellent place to stay, good value, friendly welcome, and a lush breakfast.

The staff were rude and uncompromising the hotel was shabby and in need of upgrading.

I read the previous review after booking the hotel so I was a bit scared of what we would find. We stayed for three nights and would have no hesitation in recommending the Cathedral to others. OK, the decor in the halls and stairs is a bit drab but it must cost a bomb to decorate and the hotel provides...

We planned on staying for 2 nights, however for some reason we were only booked for 1 night when we checked in (the guy who checked us in stated that 'the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing'). The hotel was centrally located (about 10 mins walk from the city centre nightlife). The downstairs of the hotel...

I have recently returned from a friends wedding in Cardiff. I know the basic outline of the city centre and Cathedral road was the ideal location to stay for both the wedding and the city centre nightlife. Although Cathedral Road is a lovely road to stay in I made the obvious mistake of 'you pay for what you get'! And...
