We stayed at Gelynis Farm B&B July 9-12, 2018. What a wonderful experience! The setting is lovely, particularly the long distance view of Castle Coch. Margaret, our host, is just lovely! She promptly answered questions via email prior to our arrival. She was ready for us when we arrived. Our room was on the second floor with two twin beds. They were very comfortable and she made them up every day while we were out, as well as replenished the towels. The room wasn't large, but we were able to settle in just fine. Never turned on the TV, so I can't comment on that. Breakfast was fantastic! Cereal, juice, eggs, bacon, toast, jellies, coffee, tea, all prepared by her. She had many suggestions for things to see and do if our itinerary wasn't already full. The only two slightly negative things I would mention is the shower stall, which is quite small, and the noise from the highway nearby can get loud during rush hour if your windows or door is open. But really, I don't count those against my rating. If I'm ever lucky enough to find myself near Cardiff again, I will absolutely stay at Gelynis farm again and recommend it to anyone.

what a lovely place, so clean .excellent bathroom walk in shower, Margaret went out of her way to show me where was safe for me to walk with bad mobility. Breakfast excellent and sleep was perfect in a still quiet country area. . bed was brilliant and linen pristine.Gelynis now stays on my list for advising friends of where to stay whilst in the area.

I would come here again just to talk to Margaret. She's completely interested in your comfort. Cooks your breakfast exactly as you ask and caters to your every desire. Makes you feel totally relaxed and at ease. Which can be difficult when you stay at someone's home. But not a problem with Margaret. She's a lovely lady who has found her calling.

Stunning location. Peaceful and calm. Rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfy. It was lovely to wake up to a view of the garden. The hostess is very warm and welcoming and provides an excellent English breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee. Definitely recommend this little gem!
