Who are we? That's a difficult one to answer. That's because we're not the usual city hotel or guest house. In fact, there's nothing remotely 'usual' about us. -We're a dignified Victorian town-house with funky, fashionable 21st-century accommodation -Our rooms and suites are bold and beautiful -We're setting new standards in Cardiff, Wales's capital city -Our approach is different from the rest -We'll look after your every need (think optional butler service, personal chef and a chauffeured Rolls-Royce) -Or, if you prefer, you can look after yourself (some of our rooms have state-of-the-art kitchens) -Expect the highest levels of service -But we don't do stuffiness - we're relaxed and laid-back when it comes to atmosphere and ambience -We serve afternoon tea the proper, traditional way - then transform ourselves into a trendy piano bar in the evening

We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Owners are awful people. Worst place ever. Do not stay here. Tried to play games and got found out. Watch out for the South African lady as she will push you over a cliff when your back is turned.....

Staff were welcoming and friendly and offered to help us with our bags, checking in was easy and safe especially with COVID. The food was delicious in the morning and evening! The drinks were amazing! The only problem was that there was no hot water but the boiler hadn’t kicked in yet, once reported to reception they put the booster in place, sadly it didn’t work but I a plumber was called out and worked in the morning. Overall, a lovely stay and would highly recommend! The rooms are amazing and such a short walk into the centre.

Stayed here on a weekend for one night with my partner. Had no hot water the day we arrived till we left, we had to have cold showers after asking for assistance still no outcome. Paid over £100. Apart from the cold showers and poor assistance the room was decorated lovely.

Really poor management, felt like I was judged and wasn't welcome to the hotel. Poor value for money. I wish I read the reviews! P.s. I wish I watched Four in a Bed first. The way she spoke to Raj was disgusting. How can she be so mean and vile.

Stay away. Horribly overpriced, extra for parking, extra for breakfast. Management are terrible with a foul attitude. So many places nearby that are far better, far cheaper and far more friendly. Give it a miss

Very expensive for what it is, not good value for money. Very rude and arrogant staff who do not make you feel welcome at all. Would not recommend to anyone. The worst overnight experience I’ve ever had.

I wasnt going to post a review as I normally only do it for holiday and not business, but watching four In a bed today I felt that this justified how rude these are having used your establishment many times for business use i will no longer be as your Manager and Assistant Manager are the most awful hospitality staff I've ever come across in 35 years of working within this business absolutely disgraceful. Both should be sacked they are certainly not a credit to your business. The hotel itself is great could do with a few little changes but being a frequent use of hotels this will be my last time

Avoid this place like a plague, the owner and her puppet should not be running anything involving customer service. Awful management, food, service and facilities. Unbelievably expensive and overrated for what is a poorly run cheap b&b.
