Having stayed at the Celtic Manor on numerous occasions, we decided to treat ourselves to a new year break. On NYE we ate in the Olive Tree restaurant. Lots of food had run out and the staff weren't keeping up with what needed replenishing. We had to wait nearly ten minutes for potatoes - which meant that the rest of...

My second trip and already looking to book a third. I love the decor and grand look of the building. The staff are what make it though, courteous and thoughtful. Everyone is cheery. The bed is a little uncomfortable but if you imagine how many people stay there this is expected!

Very disappointed So disappointed in my birthday meal here. The three course all you can eat buffet was nothing special. It was a typical buffet style luke warm, empty dishes waiting to be replenished , not sure what your eating Buffett. The dishes lacked flavour, spice and inspiration ! Not usually a fan of all u can eat, thought that...

Went on 8th January with my sister, daughter & mother to celebrate her 89th birthday. It was mostly an unpleasant experience but before I speak about the worst bits I have to say that the service in Merlins bar was excellent, staff very friendly & accommodating. I stayed here during my business trip. I found it was very relaxing with all leisure facilities. The room was very clean and tidy. The choice of food at breakfast was good. The view of golf course from my room was very nice. There were few gifts shop which allowed me to buy some last minute gifts.

Booked two rooms, one for my husband and I and one for my two friends. Lady on reception I think called Monja was absolutely lovely and very pleasant. Hotel room was fine. One problem with the hotel is there is no signs so you can get your way around without asking everyone you come across. We ended up in the...

We went for a an important family meal and some of our clothes were damaged by one/some of their chairs - bright orange stains that won't wash out. No empathy from any of the staff. One of them even laughed. Service was ok but the Management just don't care about their customers whatsoever

Stayed here over Christmas, King room with Balcony, way overpriced and over rated, room was very tired, dirty, balcony doors did not work, furniture damaged, wall paper hanging off. Olive tree restaurant buffet was made up of scraps, much changed since middle of year when they tried to improve it. No slippers in room and dirty dressing gowns with make...
