Stayed for just the 1 night as I was in the area on business. Would have liked to stay longer as this is one of the best B&B's I've had the pleasure of staying at. The proprietors are very accommodating and friendly whilst not overbearing and intrusive as some can be. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, warm and immaculate....

Very noisy room at front, noisy plumbing through night, shabby rooms. The DVD player claimed was not present. The batteries were flat in the remote. A consistent picture. In case you didn't know, triple glazinbg conserves heat, but is not effective at reducing noise - it is basic GCSE physics (the gaps are too small to block soundwaves effcetively), so...

We are very disappointed to read your poor review. We have received 118 "excellent" reviews so we are at a loss to understand why you did not enjoy your stay. We have changed (upgraded) the tv recently as the old one broke down. We do need to update the website. It is a Victorian house and old houses do have...

A warm welcome. Beautifully clean house. Comfortable room. Great attention to detail. Superb breakfast and lovely hosts. One of the best places we have ever stayed! We have returned here annually for about five years now and despite a change of owners it is still just as great. We stay here in order to be close at hand to visit...

What a find and a great place to stay! Mark and Helen are the perfect hosts and you are made to feel very welcome. The Victorian house is magnificent and the rooms are exceptional in every sense, both double and single. Very comfortable beds, fantastic showers and spotlessly clean with all the touches of a 4 star establishment. I agree...

After a long journey we received a warm and friendly welcome, given super biscuits to go with out cup of tea. Guest House beautifully clean and our room and bathroom immaculate with french doors overlooking a flowery garden with lots of pots. Lovely and quiet. Very comfortable beds, TV, super breakfast. Lounge and dining room beautifully furnished. The busy road...

An overworked headline but true. This is more than a Guest House - it's a boutique hotel! We normally choose a top name hotel but this time looked for something different. And we certainly found it. We stayed here 4 nights, extending from the original 2 because it was so good. And we would have stayed longer if travel plans...

Stayed for 2 nights last weekend whilst attending an event at the Celtic Manor. Perfect location for this only 2 miles away on the same road. Easy to find with off road parking. The house is very clean, and the room was perfect. Morning breakfast was beautifully cooked, and we were made very welcome by the hosts. Would definitely recommend...

This is simply the best guest house. From the rooms to the dining and lounge area, a great deal of effort has been put into this house. It is rated number one for a reason. The owners takes good care of you from arrival to the day you leave. If I'm in the area one day I will surely come...

Such a pleasant surprise. The Labuan exceeded our expectations and is clearly the pride of the hosts Helen and Mark. A beautiful spacious house with some lovely original Victorian features seldom seen these days. Breakfast was first rate and overall great value for money.

We've stayed at a double room here, as we could not find reasonable accommodation at Chepstow, where we originally wanted to stay. Host couple were very friendly, breakfast was nice, and most of all, the room was very clean, spacious and bright with modern furniture with free parking. The only downside was the noise from the road and the bed...

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. In response, I wish to say that we were surprised that you found the room so noisy. We have recently had Grade A Triple Glazed windows fitted and you cannot hear any road noise with the window closed. I can only assume that you had the window slightly...
