The hotel is stunning, the room was huge, spotless and comfy. Car parking is a huge bonus. Breakfast was tasty although didn’t like the “bowl” plates it was served in. The review is 5/5 due to the staff who were all excellent, smiling, polite and professional.

Do you have any rooms that are quiet at the weekends ?
No have not stayed on the ground floor. We have stayed in the Eagle in the Town house, which was on the top floor, so quiet, but no windows only a skylight, it was quiet, but we missed the window. Also stayed in the Ambassador in the main building, but this is situated on a corridor adjoining the restaurant, so not as quiet as flying cloud which as mentioned is situated opposite side. If Cambrian is below flying cloud it should be quiet.

Which rooms were the nicest ones please? Town House or Main Hotel?
All of our rooms are decorated to an extremely high standard here at the hotel with attention to detail with all fixtures and fittings complimenting the grade II building we are housed in. If you were looking for our most luxurious it would be between Glen Gower and Henry Belle which are both located in the main bedroom. Glen Gower has recently been refurbished and is a modern in its appearance with colour changing LEDs allowing you to change both ambiance and appearance of the room whilst Henry Belle is more traditionally furnished with four-poster bed and classical decor. Both rooms have oversized bathrooms with Henry Belle also featuring a double walk in shower. The townhouse has an array of bedrooms with a number of rooms recently refurbished; a particular favourite in the Townhouse is Maxima as its spacious layout incorporates a dressing area, lounge area and bedroom area along with separate shower and bath.
