Swansea itself was a bit hard for me to navigate after dark, but the Hurst Dene was a wonderful location to base myself in. Very close to shops, restaurants, and supermarkets, and friends helped me figure out the public transport, so that worked out well (be prepared to cab it from the train station if push comes to shove). The...

Comfortable and clean rooms, if a bit small. Good views across Swansea and out to sea if you're on the front of the house, as we were. A very nice breakfast in the morning. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a self catering room on the ground floor with views across the bay, despite the fact it's on a busy road the room was quiet. The room was very clean with excellent facilities (fridge, microwave, cooker etc) The car park was a huge bonus due to the fact parking in Swansea is very expensive and non existent,...

Spotlessly clean and, in a basic way, very comfortable. The proprietor obviously tries hard to achieve a high standard with limited space and largely succeeds. LateRooms.com made an error with the reservation and I ended up with an apartment rather than a room - and having my own kitchen, breakfast was not included. However, this was rectified without fuss...and I...

Stayed in a single room for five days. Pros: clean, cost, location, friendly staff, next to Beck House (where applicable for university), about 15' walk to the university through Brynmill and Singleton parks, about 25' walk to the city center. Cons: wifi

Visited Swansea with my daughter to help her move accommodation for University and stayed here for 4 nights. We stayed in the self catering twin room. This was clean and comfortable. Two single fold down beds, tv,WiFi,decent kitchen with oven, grill, toaster, microwave. Bathroom had shower and was clean. We had a small issue with one of the beds but this was addressed...

Thank you for your review. I am glad you had a nice time and that you were pleased with the accommodation. I have taken on board your comment regarding the towels. The car park can accommodate 14 cars easily, parking is a premium in this area, and although small we are the only hotel with a car park.

I booked this hotel for a Saturday night prior to a cricket match at St Helens. The single room is very small but good value. It was by the road but close the window at night and I slept fine. I expected a noisy Saturday night in July. It was very quiet. Tiny en-suite. Excellent breakfast. Good value.

We stayed overnight after a wedding and everything was fine. Booking smooth, got key very quickly, parking, room very clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and the breakfast was great - especially the salmon. Had a guest house feel ... the hosts were friendly and efficient. Nothing more to add - it was great for an affordable, no frills...

I booked a stay at this hotel in Swansea while visiting sick elderly relatives who live in the area. From the outside the hotel looks pleasant and has a nice grassy area. However, when I mentioned the name of this hotel to the taxi driver he told me that it has a bad reputation and mentioned something about “asylum seekers”....

We stayed for one night but it was great. Look like family business but very well organised. The room was clean and really good organised. In the room we also had a wee fully equipped kitchen which is super! The price was ok as well. Highly recommend!
