Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here to go to the Christmas Markets in Belfast. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from great restaurants and bars and about 15 mins to city Hall. We loved our stay here, will be back!

This is hands down the best place we’ve stayed. We stayed here a number of times before COVID and went back last weekend. We were worried that the standards may have dropped but this was blown away very quickly. The staff are relaxed and attentive. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The breakfast is out of this world and in line with the very best 5 star hotels.

Can’t recommend the Tara enough. Their breakfasts are legendary and worth staying for alone! Not only that, the rooms are lovely, spacious, comfortable and well looked after. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, and can’t do enough to help. You get such a lovely service and I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

There was a large group of us that stayed after attending a concert in belfast. The staff in the hotel are very friendly. The rooms are warm and very clean. We were very impressed with the price also. Breakfast was beautiful with continental options and a menu available and the male host was very welcoming. A few of our party stayed in the annex and did think that it was a little cold but other wise were happy, Will definitely be back when we are next visiting belfast.

A very pleasant small hotel just round the corner from Botanic train station. Room was a good size and well equipped. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom with fluffy towels. Hotel is a bed and breakfast concept and the breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff made this a great stay.

The welcoming reception staff, Tara, Eva (I did not get the Gaelic spelling) and those whose names slipped my memory) made the four night stay a pleasure. The room was clean, quiet, and bed comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and those that served the food always did so with a smile at 7am!

Situated very close to Botanic railway station in the University Quarter, Tara Lodge is ideally placed for visiting Belfast. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff are very helpful and willing to assist with any queries (we got some great restaurant recommendations). The breakfast is amazing for a hotel of this sort, with a wide range of cooked meal options available. Again, the staff are very helpful.

Small basic rooms with a good breakfast. Both the parking lot and the breakfast area were extremely crowded, but still ok due to some street parking and kind guests who were willing to share a table. The hotel is close to Queens University and some night life, bars and restaurants.

We reached here after a longish day of driving to the Giants Causeway and from Portrush and exploring the Antrim Coast. Our room wasn't ready till 3pm, so we waited in the guest lounge until check-in. Onsite parking is a plus. The room was well-furnished very comfortable, with a spacious ensuite bathroom. The location is central, just on the periphery of central Belfast, and we walked everywhere on foot. It's also close to a wide choice of restaurants near the University quarter.
