Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location - walkable to town or the botanical museum. It is v easy to get the train to the titanic quarter, the station is at the end of the road. Lovely breakfast, very accommodating. Clean and has own car park.

An excellent place to stay with superb staff and lovely rooms. All the staff were so friendly and helpful - Reception, breakfast and cleaning staff. They could not have done enough for us and always asked where we were going / had been. The location was a little bit out of town but not too far to walk. The hop on hop off bus stop is not too far and it was very close to McCombs tours start. Other buses were very close too. The rooms were excellent with lovely toiletries, very large beds, excellent shower and a powerful hairdryer. Luggage was stored for us on both days of arrival and departure. We could not have asked for more. There is a free car park too which we didn’t use. An excellent stay with lovely staff and a great city. We will be back 😁

Such a warm reception in every way. Lovely, comfortable room. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful, breakfast was a treat. It was a pleasure to stay. I would recommend the hotel and the location - walking distance from the city centre and places of interest, with local facilities on the doorstep.

I LOVED staying at Tara. The staff were great at giving recommendations and helping arrange transportation, and it was very clean and very well kept. I generally get a pretty good sense about hotel quality from professionalism of staff and cleanliness (particularly of the bathroom), and I was immediately at ease here. Very clean and clearly the staff take pride in working at a quality establishment. Would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend to people, as my stay was very enjoyable (though it was only one night...wish I could have stayed longer!).

What can we say! Fantastic stay at Tara Lodge. Clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious rooms. Staff, including reception, waiting on/kitchen and domestics, were excellent, happy, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent with a great choice for breakfast with speedy, efficient service. Can't wait to return and would highly recommend Tara Lodge being in a good location for the perfect city break.

This is by far the best hotel in the whole of Northern Ireland. Every box you could possibly tick has been ticked. We love trying new places but always come back here because there is nowhere that meets the standards of Tara Lodge. The rooms are perfectly clean, comfy and spacious with beautiful toiletries, the breakfast delicious and cooked fresh to order. The staff are like family, great craic and they won't rest until they've made sure your stay is amazing... they even offered to drive us to the pub at the end of the road one night because it was raining!! Plus it's so close to the Botanic area and a quick walk to the city centre. We love it here so much, we come time and again for birthdays and anniversaries and we're booked in again for 24th Feb next month and we can't wait.
