Hadn't been here for years and was very pleasantly surprised at how it's been modernised. Super job. Bar restaurant menu is decent, food and service was good. Overall a good experience. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that I didn't actually think 'I'd go out of my way to come back here'. On the other hand I'd...

Staff were very good and for basic 'pub grub' it was fine. They have a pensioner's menu which suited my mother-in-law, slightly smaller portions than ordinary menu but same food. The homemade vegetable soup & wheaten was excellent.

Booked a table for 7 for my dads 70th birthday. The Ivanhoe was very clean and modern. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I had asked on the phone if I could bring in a birthday cake and when I gave the nod they brought it out, candles lite and singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY with us!!! Our meal was lovely...

Phoenix Cycling Club recently held their annual dinner and awards night at the Ivanhoe Hotel. The communication and support from Breandan Kerr, the food manager, prior to the event was excellent - always friendly and helpful. The function room provided was well presented and perfectly fitted our needs. My expectations are generally low in terms of the meal at events...

First time visit to Sunday lunchtime carvery at the Ivanhoe. Food and service were both excellent. Good selection of starters and carvery meats and veg. 2 of party were non-meat eaters and both were offered alternatives. Plates were cleared quickly by the waiting staff and overall service was excellent - friendly and efficient - particularly Dez. Will definitely be back.

Newly refurbished not that long ago and looking very smart. We were not staying in the hotel just visited the Bistro for lunch. I had ordered Turkey a la King, sadly it was bulked up with mixed veg. and ham, very little turkey, sauce was not creamy but watery. I did notice that people at two tables beside us were...

The Ivanhoe is overpriced, has extremely rude staff, and the rooms are very very unclean. Filthy dirty maroon throws and pillows on the bed. I had to listen to awful music blaring half the night and couldn't sleep.
