If you would like a peaceful county retreat, the Old Schoolhouse can be strongly recommended as a self-catering establishment. It is not far from Ballycastle but it is absolutely essential to have your own transport. It is sited on a minor country road on which there is very little traffic except for an occasional tractor. I took my two children and my parents to the schoolhouse as a getaway from our busy lives and it didn't disappoint. We were greeted by Mary who made us scones and buns, what a lovely welcome. We were catered for perfectly and everything we needed was there. I would seriously recommend this place if you are looking for a...

We stayed four nights in the old schoolhouse and just loved it. A really quiet country location and yet just a few miles to Ballycastle. Nicely decorated, beautifully furnished and with lots of amenities including excellent wifi. Comfortable, warm and a great place to rest up. A lovely self-catering cottage with lots of history.

Our kids were 10, 6 and 4yrs old, theyve been to Florida, and Spain several times and they all say Glenshesk was their best holiday EVER! Even though the weather wasnt great we had a brilliant time, playing in the huge enclosed garden and Games room....
