I had the pleasure of staying at Oakleigh for a few weeks during the summer as I was working in the area. It really was home from home and a big thank you to Jan and Pam for how well they looked after me. The rooms were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for shower's etc. The breakfast was first class and if Jan does not have something (which is very unlikely) she will try to get it. Jan also provides healthy options to some of the staple breakfast items. The view from the sunroom is stunning and I enjoyed sitting in the evenings and looking at the mournes. I would recommend this B&B to anyone and it's convenient location to Tollymore Forest Park is another plus point.
My whole family loved our stay with Jan and Pam. Very comfortable beds and atmosphere. Wonderful farm area around - close to Tollymore forest - and wonderful restaurants in town. Breakfast was a feast.
I stayed at Oakleigh House B&B for a night with my fiance, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. There are only 3 rooms at the B&B (2 double, 1 twin), and we were extremely impressed by the thoughtfulness and hospitality shown by Jan and Pam. No request seemed too big to handle, and they both were extremely proactive in offering local tips and advice, especially with visiting Tollymore Forest Park, which is only a short walk away. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a great view of cows grazing against a backdrop of the Mourne Mountains. There was a nice garden and sunroom which we could use, and also tea and coffee making facilities. It is worth noting that you do have to book directly with the owners, but the B&B represents great value, and the genuine warmth of Jan and Pam made it especially memorable. Highly recommended!…
Wonderful hosts! We had such a great stay it was like a home away from home. Absolutely beautiful setting with a great view of the mourns and the nicest owners it was a pleasure meeting them. Lovely breakfast! Can't wait to come back 😀
Great little bed and breakfast. Comfortable and warm room and great value for money. Lovely owners and fabulous pets. A very laid back feel with one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had - certainly beats the usual hotel breakfast buffet. In the countryside so need a car to get here but the views are lovely and the ambience peaceful. Thanks Jan for a lovely stay! Definitely will use again if back in the area.
