Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A three night break at the Enniskeen was like visiting an old friend! A warn welcome, comfortable room, good food and relaxing surroundings inside and out. The ramble down to the river should not be missed. Those stunning views of the ever changing Mts of Mourne lift the heart every day on every visit. Liz and Rodney

Really enjoyed our stay here. It's an old building and inside is like stepping back in history, of a stately home, with idilic decor in keeping with the hotel.. food was excellent. Rooms spotless and a family friendly environment allowing you to sit back and relax in the bar or foya area. Staff even russeled up sandwiches at night for the kids after a busy day... I would highly recommend this place..

The location is stunning, with views of the Mourne mountains, but then so is the welcome and service. The river walk is really well designed and very picturesque and best of all was the outstanding dinner! Would definitely revisit.

From walking in through the main doors, we were met by very polite & very friendly staff that could do enough for us. The room was bight, clean & spacious with all the needs you would get in your own house. The food was perfect and very tasty, reasonably priced. he Enniskeen Country House Hotel is a prefect getaway for either overnight or a few days, with its stunning backdrops of the Mourne mountains.

Enniskeen House is a gem of a place, yes the decor is a bit dated but it’s a period house, modern furniture etc would look out of place! Beds are super comfy, and the views from our bedroom where spectacular. Breakfast was beautiful and very well presented, would love to see a bar menu for evening as at the moment it’s only a set 3 course meal. The gardens are also beautiful make sure you walk down to the Shimna River, it’s so tranquil and a perfect place to relax. Will definitely return.

In traveling around Ireland for three weeks, this was one of our favorite hotels. We upgraded to the executive double room and were given a spacious, octagon-shaped room in the turret which had a gorgeous view of the Mourne Mtns from multiple windows (also of the sea). It was great just hanging out in the room and admiring the views. Additionally, the hotel has a very nice restaurant where breakfast is served, and you can opt for dinner. An adjacent room serves a full tea service and drinks. We also greatly enjoyed walking the grounds, especially the whimsical Nature Trail, which is full of surprises and very peaceful. Overall, it's an enchanting hotel and a slice from a bygone era.
