Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed with Colm and Francis for 4 days in May 2019. The B&B is close to all amenities, whilst being in a quiet location. The room was large and clean and Colm and Francis were very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again if we return to NI.

I stayed at the B&B for 3 days, arranging my visit ahead of time was easy and the owners responded to emails quickly and helpfully. I couldn't have wished for a better welcome at the door - bags carried up to my room, car parking offered. The room was well beyond what I normally expect from a B&B - this was high end hotel room quality (in fact better), with all the facilities, bathroom, tv, internet, tea coffee, etc. etc. Breakfast was delicious and they asked ahead of time how they could make it better for me - and actually went out and bought the items! I've never encountered that level of hospitality. You will love your stay here, and you will love chatting with the owners who will give over and above the normal Irish welcome.

Colm and Francis helped my son in so many ways--in the first minutes. Colm drove me to pick up a car, they found a great restaurant, and they were a delight from the word go. Rooms are wonderful, and most importantly, the owners are really spectacular.

The Amble In B&B is a must for anyone staying in Newcastle. Colam & Francis are the kindest people you will ever meet! They have the biggest hearts and treat you like family. They provided us with the most helpful tips for traveling around Ireland. They are also fabulous cooks! I truly wouldn't look anywhere else to stay. As well, it's in walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Our room were very clean, had comfy beds, and nice bathrooms.

Colm and Francis are really warm and friendly hosts. I booked a single room which was clean, warm and cosy although I did have to share the shower room with guests in an adjoining room. I had the full breakfast which was fabulous! Nothing was too much trouble for my hosts and I’ll definitely be back.
