Stayed for 2 nights last weekend and to be honest I was disappointed with the overall experience. Firstly I must say that all the staff were very helpful, room was clean and well prepared. However early Friday evening the lounge was like a playground with kids running about everywhere. Dinner in the restaurant was an "experience" food bland and tasteless,...

I had occasion to come to Burrendale Hotel for Sunday lunch + thought it would be a good experience. Well think again! The menu was poor, basic, predictable + overpriced. The quality of food was generally unacceptable + lacked quality. It had that mass produced flavour + characteristics, and not wishing to put too fine a point on it, was...

We had our son's Holy Communion here recently and I was really impressed with the food . Everything from entering the Burrendale gives you a very welcoming impression. The staff r very friendly and take time to talk to you which is very important. I would definitely recommend this for any family to try as they will have a brilliant...

Spent two nights for my wife's birthday at the end of April. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and most certainly will not be our last. The hotel staff are so friendly, and nothing is a problem when you need something. I asked for an upgraded room, with a nice view, and they offered me...

We were greeted at reception by an extremely friendly gentleman. The hotel was spotless as was our bedroom. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast served by very friendly staff. A most enjoyable break.

We had a really enjoyable couple of nights and will be back. Room was good - worth paying a wee touch extra for an ambassador room. Breakfast was good, not a massive choice but nice. We had 1 dinner, not in the vine restaurant, and the meal was just about average. We have stayed here a lot in the past...

The rooms are of an excellent size and the beds are really comfortable. The large-head power showers are extremely effective. The meals for our group's dinner weren't exactly as described on the menu, but were very tasty. More choice in the bar offerings would have been appreciated. The lounge singers on the Friday night were definitely of a better calibre...

I stayed here for four nights as part of a very large group. Having stayed in many hotels, all over Europe and in parts of the Middle East, Far East and Africa, I have observed that hotels in the British Isles tend to employ improperly trained and/or inexperienced staff, and this is very evident in the service received - or...
