Self check-in with code entry and unlocking your own room. Interphone at doorway for assistance... The manager was unprofessional and unhelpful. Sent his aggressive and short-tempered father around to tell me off effectively. The room we stayed in was not pictured anywhere on

Response from paulderry, General Manager at Serendipity House

hi, this Was a guest dispute, we are sorry that we could not accommodate your request to change rooms, guest early booked a twin room, £42, (yes I said it don't quote me £42) last minute discount guests then decided that she would like a larger room and a double bed as her partner was 6ft 6in , surely if this was the case as a large man you would specifically ensure that you book a larger room for your requirements , guest was offered the remaining family room at a discount £58normally £120, which would have been a £20 increase in her initial room rate for a room 3 times the size with ensuite, guest huffed and puffed and tried every argument to get what she wanted which was a larger room but not pay more than £42 for a family room!! , guest was also within her rights to leave and find alternative accommodation, her comment of how there was not accommodation left in town is false as it was a quiet night and lots of accommodation was available , however all accommodation was more expensive than mine, I find very dissapointing that in this day and age that people feel it is there god given right to slander a business and people's reputations because when they shout and demand and there request is not made due to there own mistake, and turn down alternative offers because of there fiscal management that we as a business should suffer, guest recieved a twin room as booked, 2 standard 6ft 4 beds, this is a comfortable warm room with all facilities a guest would need, full breakfasts, Free high speed internet, parking all for a £42 a night, if the guest was so displeased I can t for the life of me understand why they didn't leave untill 11.50 that morning, if they were so displeased they would have left first thing, guests then requested that there stay be refunded because the room did not suite there needs, this was declined and as such we have now recieved this negitave review, full of false information and inaccurate accounts, However it is beyond my control to stop people from being dishonest and trying to actively Sully people's reputation.

A weird set up, more of a hostel than a b&b. No one around to check us in, the room was small and freezing cold. Walls are thin so you can hear everything going on in all the rooms. Noisy floorboards. Separate bathroom for room 3 which was a nightmare. The shower holder was

Good to live in. but they need to concentrate more on room service. Toilet is a bit dangerous one. There is no shower curtains to prevent water coming outside. also the floor edges are highly dangerous.
