My sister and I stayed in the spacious top floor family room at Aurora Guest House. The room was spotless and brightly lit by two windows which we could open for fresh air. Pamela and Dave were very welcoming and proved to be excellent hosts. The full Scottish breakfast cooked by Dave, a chef in a previous life, was supplemented by a broad range of specialty options, including porridge, poached eggs with black pudding, and Aberdeen butteries. Pamela served a variety of her homemade jams and lemon curd (a favorite), and her homemade tablet and gingerbread awaited us on our return after touring. On a couple late returns, we were able to use the microwave in the dining room for our dinner with dishes Pamela provided for our use. Onsite parking was available at the back, a godsend after a long day’s outing. The guest house is well-located with convenient access to major arteries in and out of Aberdeen. We would highly recommend you stay with Pamela and Dave on your next trip to Aberdeen.

Thank you both very much, we enjoyed having you to stay. So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Everyone has their favourites jams and marmalades when they stay with us, can’t beat homemade, and I’m glad we had made lemon curd the week you stayed as it was definitely a favourite. Hope your journey home was straightforward and you will be well on your way to the next holiday planning. Regards Pam & Dave

The Aurora Guest House is truly outstanding - the elegant, late Victorian building, the high level of cleanliness, the hosts (Pamela and Dave who are very caring) and the varied, freshly prepared breakfasts. Pamela even makes cakes for her guests every afternoon. In the guest house category you would be very hard pushed to find a better place to stay. Thoroughly recommended, we hope to return.

We were originally due to stay two nights but had to cut this short due to other commitments.

We stayed in Room 6 on the top floor which has a King size bed, single bed and more than enough room for a carry cot. This was a perfect size room for us as a family of 4. The room and B&B were absolutely spotless and COVID measures in place.

Parking is free to the rear and Wi-Fi is included.

Breakfast was delicious and nothing too much trouble for Pamela & Dave. We have family friends that live nearby and will definitely be staying again at the Aurora the next time we visit.

Thank you very much, it was really lovely having you both stay with us. I bet you were exhausted when you got home, as nobody can say you didn’t go and see a lot in your week. Glad you enjoyed our homebakes, we always think it is nice when guests have been away for the day and they come back to a nice little surprise. Hope we may see you again. Regards Pam & Dave

This was the first time that we stayed at the Aurora, and definitely will not be the last. The hosts were very friendly, and the breakfasts were excellent. Home baking, home made jams and fresh butteries! The room we got was on the top floor and had a south facing view away from the main road. It was very comfortable, clean and quiet.

It is possible to get a bus to the city centre just outside the front door, but we opted to walk in and out. That gave us a good excuse to stop off at The Ashvale a couple of times for a fish supper...

We will definitely use The Aurora on our next visit to Aberdeen

So glad I stayed here! I was up in Aberdeen for an intense week long business course and made the booking based on the reviews on this website - which are unanimously 5-star. And it is easy to see why. Pamela and David are incredibly warm and hospitable hosts making you immediately feel at home. The home is grand with many original period features, the rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The light-filled breakfast room is a perfect place to start the day and the freshly cooked hot breakfasts will keep you going......loved it!

thank you for your enquiry but it is only suitable for people with limited disabilities as there are a couple of steps to get into the guest house and also a couple of steps between the lounge and the dining room. Sorry to have taken longer to reply but we are on holiday at the moment. Regards Pam & Dave
