Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for the night to attend P&J Live. Great location only 6 minute walk from hotel. The hotel is very welcoming with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely and clean and had a small separate sitting area with tv which you can log on with your home passwords for Netflix etc. there is all so tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We had a pre show meal in the restaurant which was served speedily and piping hot. All the staff were friendly. The Lounge is cosy with open fire and prices much the same as in Aberdeen itself. Breakfast in the morning again was served piping hot as well as continental breakfast choices. We will definitely be back.

The pictures say it all. The hotel group refused to return my emails or discuss the photos. You would think they would be on it after that but nothing they don't care. If you have stayed here and given feed back the hotel is great and clean then it's a lie.

We recently held a 75th birthday celebration at the hotel and we wouldnt hesitate to use the venue again. Customer service was excellent from the outset and we felt it was a truly personalised service. Nothing was too much trouble and Arlene, George and John and the rest of the staff were outstanding. If felt like they were as invested as we were in making it a success and they seemed as excited as us to see the reaction of the birthday girl. Guests commented on how much they enjoyed the afternoon tea and DJ Lexi who frequently provides entertainment for events at the venue received much praise. We stayed overnight and had a lovely room with a separate seating area. Can't thank the team enough and I know that our guests will be recommending the venue to others as the result of such a positive experience.

Although staff were nice and attentive the food was substandard and not worth the prices charged. We had main meals and desserts. The food was terrible. Salmon tasted slightly fishy as if it was frozen and going out of date. Chicken dish sauce was not a very nice tasting flavour. I had heard good things about this place for food recently and was disappointed to find it was pretty bad for a hotel. Nice staff and pleasant surroundings however.

This hotel is georgeous. We booked an executive double room and it was lovely with tea/coffee, trouser press, large tv and smart bathroom with individual shampoo and shower gel. The bar was lovely and homely and the restaurant and breakfast was table service. The staff were so friendly as well. It was just over a direct path to the P&J arena. I would definitely staff again.

51 of us had a wonderful start to Christmas today, on the 1st of December, when we sat down to enjoy a lovely Christmas Lunch which was well complimented on by one and all. Our compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff. Our group have been going to the Craighaar Hotel on this special occasion for a number of years now , and and that in itself speaks volumes. Most of all, what is so impressive is how well it is run and this is due to the professional and friendly service right down the line - from Arlene, the Regional Manager, George the Manager and John and all the staff who set out to ensure we have a great time. I can’t finish without saying that when you do go there, and you must, look out for Leon, one of the waiters. All I can say is Leon, you are wonderful and you had us laughing as you waved us off!

Went here for the night after attending a concert at the P&j live. We arrived at the hotel to find our key sitting on a table with a letter with my name on it and the room that we were staying in. the room was filthy and we arrived to blood stained blankets, dirty curtains, dirty floors, wallpaper coming of walls and wet stained in ceiling. We then went to get some dinner before our concert to be told we couldn’t get into the restaurant as we hadn’t made a booking even though we were staying in the hotel. really don’t think our stay is worth all the money we paid.. the whole experience was horrible from start to finish The manager is really rude and unpleasant.
