Detailed Reviews
Was running a training course in Double Tree Hilton, when it was suddenly closed. Palm Court was able to take us all at very short notice, and they dealt with the emergency impeccably. Have used them before, and was very pleased to see much evidence of upgraded rooms, with more to follow. Food excellent. The new shower/bathrooms are exceptional - can't remember seeing better, with heated mirrors and towel rails, and beautiful tiling. We have block-booked the hotel for all our courses for the rest of the year. Much thanks to all the staff. Thanks to Gregory too, for fixing my computer!

We had a three night stay in January. On the first night we ate in The Bothy and words cannot describe how good the Chicken and Ham pie was. Best I’ve ever had. On our last night I could not leave without having it again. Not disappointed.
The service in the restaurant by Jenna and Matt was excellent and both were very attentive.
The hotel itself is lovely and the rooms have recently been renovated to a high standard.
We arrived for our stay at 8am having come off the Northlink ferry from Shetland and went to the hotel to hopefully leave our luggage prior to going out, only for reception staff to go out of their way to make sure we got into our room to freshen up which was greatly appreciated.
P.S. Breakfast was great. Full Scottish and buffet available. All in all a great stay in a lovely hotel with very friendly and professional staff.

We stayed for Hogmanay. Having been here previously another year for Christmas Day lunch with family we were looking for somewhere to celebrate Hogmanay with a small group of us. Living fairly local we booked for the 6 of us to the gala dinner and me and my girlfriend booked a room so that we didn’t have to travel home after the party. The rooms were great, staff excellent and food was good.
Now to the bad part - the party. If we had not been booked in for the night and were able to change the plans we would have left the party early on. We were in the family room which was fine as we had two children with us, however didn’t expect the 12 or so other children to be running riots around the small room, screaming and shouting etc. The parents literally did nothing to calm them down. The staff apologised to us and you could see they were getting frustrated as the kids were preventing them from doing their jobs! The children were coming behind us and screeching as loud as they could whilst we were trying to enjoy our meal. We were not impressed and hoped that it would ease off. Next thing the DJ is playing musical chairs with all the kids on the dance floor which we really didn’t expect to see at the Hogmanay party. The last hour of the party was the best part when most of the kids were a sleep.
Would I go back to the Palm court again- Yes
Would I book in for a special occasion or party - No
This really wasn’t what we paid for and all of the group were left disappointed. Even the kids we had with us were annoyed at how the other parents had let their children behave and take over the venue.
Like I’ve said above the staff were great throughout.
We spend a good amount of money on meals, drinks and the room and really would not do this again here. The review includes nothing that I didn’t tell the lovely receptionist on check out the following morning.

We got married in the Palm Court hotel in June and honestly from our first visit to the venue until the last moment of our wedding celebration, we could not have been more happy with the service and the standard of everything they did for us. The day began with a family breakfast in the resteraunt then getting ready in one of their bridal rooms, where they had a complimentary bottle of prosecco chilled. We got married in the Sanderson Room which was beautiful, bright and airy, the Palm Court had decorations such as a cream runner carpet, the tall flower centrepieces at the side of the aisle, the flower arch at the end of the aisle, and the table and table cloth for conducting the ceremony (we did a candle lighting ritual) and a separate table for signing the register. We also took some of our own decorations which they helped us organise in the room. Beverly was always there throughout the whole day, letting us preview the room and make changes throughout every portion of the day. The chairs are also beautiful - it was a perfect space for our 45 guests. After the ceremony the drinks were flowing and the canopies were plentiful and delicious. The Palm Court wrote up all of the place settings and table plans for the evening meal so I had literally nothing to worry about in this department. We got a choice of 2 centrepieces which were both beautiful. The meal was delicious, the portions were big and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were able to play our own music through their sound system throughout the whole day. They helped the band set up in the evening, and the evening buffet was again plentiful and delicious. All in all, we had the most PERFECT day thanks to the Palm Court - they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything throughout the planning process and the day itself. EXCELLENT value for money compared to other venues we had seen, if you are thinking about booking the Palm Court for your wedding or event I would highly recommend! A special thanks to all staff who worked on our wedding day but especially Beverly, Jenna, Sherry, Linda, and Sharlene.

I had dinner here on the way home tonight which I enjoyed. The service from the waiter was excellent (Matt L) who was welcoming, polite and friendly. I was seated and served promptly and the food came quickly. I had two courses for under £15 from their 'market menu' which I felt was very good value. The cream of cauliflower soup was piping hot and delicious as was the large plate of macaroni cheese. Will definitely be back to The Palm Court soon.

Booked a 4-night stay at The Palm Court Hotel when needing a hotel to come to visit family in Aberdeen. We paid £260 in total for the room itself, working out at only £65 per night - we were amazed at the value for the money as our room was superb. Very clean, well-presented, modern, and had everything we could possibly require. The bathroom was lovely, with a great shower which is always a bonus!
They made our room up each day and refreshed our tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities. They even left a Tunnocks Wafer or Teacake each day as well which was a nice little treat to end the evening with a hot drink!
We paid for breakfast on 3 days, it was £10 per head, per person and well worth the money. There was a full continental buffet to help yourself to and then you could order from a menu as well, we had a few different things but the Eggs Benedict and Full English Breakfast were the top hits for us! Full English was huge and very filling with tattie scone, haggis, and black pudding making us feel even more at home in Scotland!!
We also had dinner in the restaurant one evening, which again was wonderful! We both had steak, cooked to perfection with lovely accompaniments and the service was great too.
Overall had a fantastic stay, definitely will be back and would highly recommend!

This hotel is really modern, really clean, and has superb service, this is now definitely our go to Aberdeen hotel. Gorgeous decor, really friendly helpful staff and the breakfast was amazing. We had booked for us and our little grand daughter through a booking site but it was somehow lost in translation by the time the booking arrived at the hotel and they only had us down for one double bed. The girl at reception assured us it was no problem and when we got back to our room after going for dinner a super cosy little bed had been made up in our room. The TV in your room allows you to sign into your own Netflix account which was brilliant, we went back to our room and watched a movie with a very happy little girl. This is honestly the best hotel we have stayed at in a very long time, small enough to have superb customer service and attention to detail, big enough to have every modern convenience you'd need.

This is the second time we’ve visited since reopening night in June and both times the food Ive had was unfortunately quite disappointing, which is a real shame considering this is our new local and would love for it to be somewhere I could regularly go for food.
We ordered two Aperol Spritz before the meal and in most places you'd expect to get a large full wine glass with slices of orange and a straw for an aperol spritz but it was just a standard mixed drink in a small wine glass and we agreed they looked and tasted like a let down for £15.
The meals we had tonight we waited about 45 minutes for which I wasn’t too bothered about as we were sat outside and it was a nice evening, but that is still far too long. I had a burger as the meal I had last time wasn’t great and I thought the burger you can’t go too far wrong. After we’d paid we remembered we had a “Locals Card” which we forgot to show them for 20% off the meal, which we asked about literally a minute after we had paid but they apparently couldn’t put through the discount after, which seems a bit strange.
The burger on the menu says it comes with “Smoked Arran Cheddar, Bacon, Iceberg, Tomato, Pickle, Caramelised Onion, Sesame & Poppy Seed Brioche” - what arrived were two completely overcooked bone dry shrunken burgers (I assume two were put in as one would’ve looked silly given how small it was) with cheese grilled beyond recognition, some salad and a pickle but no caramelised onion i could see, in a standard toasted bap. We weren’t asked if we wanted sauces or salt even though we both had fries and I had to wait a further 10 minutes for ketchup after I asked for it myself and then had to remind them, which after you’ve waited 45mins is the last thing you can be bothered with.
I’d have no issue with things being slightly different than stated on the menu if it tasted fine, but it was so bad I felt that comparing what I got to what was on the description was a bit of a joke. I left half the burger on the plate as it was genuinely the worst one I’ve ever had in a pub/restaurant.
The mussels were fantastic however and we ended up sharing those.
All in all, I think the food here really needs improving, as at those prices the standard should be better, it’s not that it’s poor quality just prepared really badly.

Hello there,
I'm afraid the Palm Court is a good 4 miles from Footdee. I would recommend to pay the hotel a visit.
Hello Tricia. I have stayed there a couple of times. Both times we had breakfast there. They have a website. The staff there are very friendly and I would recommend the hotel.
